The highest scoring team in Florida high school history now has a sick highlight

Apopka HS (FL) went on an absolute offensive tear last season on their way to a state runner up finish. The Blue Darters set a Florida high school regular season record with 529 points in the regular season. Counting their run to the state title game, Apopka (13-2 overall) put up an impressive 752 points, averaging just over 50 points per game against some of the stiffest competition in the Sunshine State.

With the highest powered offense in Florida high school history comes loads and loads of highlights, which Darlington and his guys have compiled in an outstanding highlight that really does their special season justice.

I had the opportunity to introduce Apopka head coach Rich Darlington at a clinic during the off season, and while coaches from some very successful college programs were speaking at the same time he was scheduled to speak, it was impossible to find an open seat in his room. His knowledge and personality make him one of the most well traveled high school speakers during clinic season, and he lays it all on the table, no secrets. If you get a chance to watch Apopka play, or better yet, catch coach Darlington with five minutes to hop on the white board, take it. It will be well worth your time.

Even considering our high school Video of the Year submissions for this year, this may be my favorite high school video of 2014.
