Buffalo State: Buffalo State College’s strength and conditioning department is accepting applications for the Spring 2017 Strength and Conditioning Internship Program. This is an unpaid position. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting the strength and conditioning staff with the implementation of sport specific injury prevention, strength, speed, agility, flexibility, mobility, and conditioning program. Potential Candidates: Candidates should be pursuing or have completed a Bachelor’s in a related field. A CSCS certification or a SCCC certification are preferred but not required. Allegheny College (D-III - PA): Peak Performance and Fitness is now accepting applications for 2 Interns Job Description: Assist the Director with all aspects of the strength & conditioning program and teams, as assigned. Assist the Director in all day-to-day operations including, but not restricted to, assisting in the implementation of strength and conditioning programs, supervising student workers, assisting in the maintenance and upkeep of the facility, and other responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications: Experience in coaching 1st aid, CPR/AED required Professional fitness certification preferred Bachelor's Degree Preferred Must be able to work 15+ hours per week Compensation: This is an UNPAID POSITION. Wisconsin: The University of Wisconsin Football Strength and Conditioning Internship program is currently accepting applications for the Spring 2017 semester (two positions available). The internship will begin January 16th, 2017 and will end May 13th, 2016. These internships are unpaid and non-coaching positions. Prerequisites: The candidate must be pursuing or have completed a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science or related field and be CPR and First Aid certified. Candidates must be considering pursuing or possess a certification through the CSCCa and/or NSCA. Those accepted will assist in the day to day operations of the facility, including: cleaning and maintenance duties, set-up and break-down of equipment for all workouts, data collection and assist with gps catapult systems. The intern program consists of mock interviews, presentations to the staff, weekly topics and bi-weekly evaluations. Candidates must possess strong work ethic, respectable character, 100% commitment to the program and a desire to pursue a career in the strength and conditioning field. This is an opportunity to gain experience at the Division 1 level and to expand knowledge in this field.
