Midwestern State (D-II): Midwestern State University is currently seeking a defensive graduate assistant football coach. The position includes a stipend, housing, and tuition assistance for graduate school. Coaching responsibilities to include; but not limited to, defensive line. Experience playing and coaching defensive line is preferred. Responsibilities include all aspects of the football program including; but not limited to, video editing & highlights, practice organization, contest preparation, recruitment weekends, student athlete development, and other duties as assigned by the Head Football Coach. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required. Tennesse Martin (FCS): UT-Martin is looking to hire an offensive graduate assistant. This job includes monthly stipend housing and meal plan. Job duties will include coaching a position primarily TE/H back possibly working with the OL. Must have excellent computer skills and extensive knowledge of DVSport is a priority. Notre Dame: Jeff Burris, a former All-American for the Irish, has joined the staff as a senior defensive analyst.

Minnesota-Morris (D-III): University of Minnesota -Morris has an opening for a part-time assistant coach. This position will coach his own position group, either Defensive Backs or Outside Linebackers. The position will also include all the duties associated with a college football coach. The position is seasonal, beginning August 1 and concluding November 30. Bachelors degree is required. The stipend for the appointment is $4000. No housing, meals or benefits included. Earlham (D-III - IN): Earlham College is seeking qualified candidates for the position of defensive assistant coach / defensive backs coach. Responsibilities will include coaching a skill position group assisting with the defensive coordinator, and assisting the head coach in all aspects of the program (practice and game preparation, recruiting, fundraising, video breakdown, camps, equipment, community involvement, and other duties as assigned). The successful candidate will have integrity and respect, excellent interpersonal, organizational and leadership skills with the ability to work effectively with all constituents. This is a 12 month salaried position, with benefits. Bachelor’s degree required, with coaching / playing experience preferred. North Park University (D-III - Chicago, IL): North Park University is seeking a part-time football coach, with an anticipated start date of August 1st. Local candidates are highly encouraged to apply. This position is available to those aspiring to get into the college coaching profession, and will come with a $3,000 stipend. The part time position will assist in a defensive coaching role, possibly have a recruiting territory, and will be immersed in the day to day activities of an up and coming DIII football program. The assistant coach will be responsible for assisting a coordinator and / will be transitioned to become an individual position coach with different aspects of on the field coaching and game day assignments. This position includes no housing or meals at this time. Playing/Coaching experience, along with video editing is preferred but not required. Shaw University (D-II - NC):Shaw is seeking to fill open dates as follows: Sept 16, 2017, seeking a home game vs. a D-II opponent, Sept 1, 2018, seeking a guarantee game vs an FCS opponent and Sept 9, 2018 seeking a home game vs a D-II opponent. St. Norbert (D-III - WI): Per source, St. Norbert is hiring UW-Stout (D-III) offensive coordinator / offensive line coach / head strength and conditioning coordinator Pat McAvoy for their offensive line coach and offensive coordinator job.

St. Anselm (D-II - NH): Sources tell FootballScoop that Elmhurst College (D-III - IL) offensive coordinator / offensive line coach Mike Heffernan is joining the St. Anselm staff as offensive coordinator. Heffernan and St. Anselm head coach Joe Adam previously worked together at Elmhurst before Adam left for Syracuse, where he spent the last few seasons before landing the St. Anselm job.

Nebraska: Following the dismissal of Bo Pelini and his staff after the 2014 season, Nebraska paid nearly $1.9 million to Pelini and his former assistants, according to a report in the Omaha World-Herald. Because Pelini's job at Youngstown State has offset his buyout payments a bit, he will earn about $6.5 million from his buyout.
