There are 8,760 hours in a year. The Iron Bowl accounts for roughly three of them. The state of Alabama seemingly spends the remaining 8,757 hours discussing, predicting, debating and, mostly, bragging about what occurs in the other three.
That's what you get when you have one state with no professional teams and only two major college football programs, and then those two schools play for five consecutive national championships, winning four of them.
