University of Redlands (D-III - CA): Redlands is looking for candidates to fill their head strength and conditioning coach position. Seattle University (WA): Seattle University Sports Performance Department is accepting applications for two (2) volunteer UNPAID strength and conditioning intern positions for the Fall 2014 Quarter. Internships will begin September 22 and continue through December 6, 2014. Individuals will gain knowledge and experience in a Division-I Collegiate strength and conditioning setting. The internship may fulfill course credit if necessary. Qualifications: Currently pursuing a bachelors/masters in exercise science or related field, certified in CPR/First Aid, currently hold or pursuing CSCS, USAW, and/or SCCC certification(s), and a strong desire to become a Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coach. Compensation: This is a UNPAID VOLUNTEER position. Midwestern State (D-II - TX): Midwestern State University Strength and Conditioning program is seeking highly motivated, hardworking candidates for strength and conditioning interns for the SUMMER 2014 semester. Responsibilities include: assisting with the supervision and training of Midwestern State University’s 12 Division II intercollegiate athletic programs; assisting with daily administrative and maintenance duties; completion of various educational assignments during the internship are required. Preferred qualifications: Pursuing Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in exercise physiology or related field; NSCA-CSCS or USAW certifications; CPR certification. One year of previous experience in a strength and conditioning program or have previous collegiate athletics experience is preferred. Having a background in performing and coaching Olympic lifts is preferred. Compensation: This is a non-paid position, but offers the opportunity of advancement in the field of strength and conditioning as well as the fulfillment of credit hours towards a degree program.
