Tulsa: University of Tulsa Department of Athletic Performance is accepting applications for the Summer 2014 Athletic Performance Paid Internship Position. Paid intern responsibilities include: Assisting with the supervision of training programs; Assisting with daily administrative and maintenance duties; Completion of various educational assignments. Paid Intern qualifications include: Punctuality; Enthusiasm; Strong work ethic; Ability to work a minimum of 40 hours per week. Preferred qualifications include: completion of a bachelor's degree in exercise science or related field; SCCC, CSCS, or USAW certification; CPR certification. Paid Interns will receive experience working in a Division I training environment, and receive college credit if applicable. Expected Start Date is May 19th. Western Carolina: WCU is currently seeking a qualified individual for its Spring/Summer 2013 athletic performance part-time assistant position. This is a paid position with an 11 month commitment at no more than 40 hours per week. The pay is $12,000 for the 11 months. If this is not something you can financially afford please do not apply. Responsibilities include any sports assigned by the Director of Athletic Performance, and/or the Assistant Director of Athletic Performance. We are looking for someone with experience in training Football, & Track & Field. They will also more than likely be training women’s soccer, women’s tennis and cheer. Other duties will include: management of the unpaid intern program, general equipment upkeep, weight room sanitation, administrative work, game day responsibilities, and assisting in the supplementation program. Applicant requirements are as follows: must have a Bachelor of Science Degree with a concentration in Exercise Science/Nutrition or a related field current CPR/AED certification along with the NSCA – Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist Certification. It is preferred that the individual has experience in speed mechanics training. Applicants must also be in compliance with Western Carolina, the Southern Conference and the NCAA.
