When you're an empty nester, 3,200 square feet can start to feel like too much.
What's that? Oh, I'm sorry. I meant to say 32,000 square feet.
Mike and Peggy Shanahan built a 32,254-square foot, six-bed, 13-bath home on nearly four acres of land in the Cherry Hills Park area of Englewood, Colo., a suburb to the south of Denver in 2008, as something of a gift to themselves at the end of Mike's 14-year, two-Super Bowl run as head coach of the Broncos.
Now, nearly a decade later, the couple is looking to unload the property for a cool price of $22 million.
The custom built home comes equipped with a weight room large enough to house a junior high football team, a racquetball court, a bowling alley, a golf simulator, a bowling alley, a wet bar, multiple patios, a massive pool, a hot tub and spa, a seven-car garage and 11 fireplaces.
The theme the couple was going for, it appears, was "heir to a Spanish shipping dynasty."

On top of the $22 million required to purchase the home, be advised: property taxes run just below $110,000 a year, and homeowner's association fees top $16,000 a year.
