Texas: Texas will hire Charlie Strong as head coach according to Bobby Burton of 247Sports. Sources tell us this is happening and will be official tomorrow. SI reports that Strong has agreed to a five year deal worth $5 million per.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Leslie Frazier will be the Bucs' defensive coordinator according to Josina Anderson of ESPN.com. Jeff Rapp noted on twitter tonight that former Bears running backs coach Tim Spencer is planning to join Lovie's staff as well.
Cincinnati: Defensive coordinator Art Kaufman and defensive tackles coach Fred Tate have been let go.
South Florida: Sources tell us Willie Taggart is in advanced discussions with 49ers senior offensive assistant (and former Washington State head coach) Paul Wulff to join his staff as offensive coordinator. We also hear TJ Weist is in consideration.
Atlanta Falcons: The Falcons have requested and been granted permission to interview Browns' defensive line coach Joe Cullen per Ian Rapoport.
Cleveland Browns: Jim Tressel will interview for the head job with the Browns per Joe Dunn out of Akron. Adam Schefter reported after this initial report that Browns executives state Tressel will not be interviewed. We continue to hear this evening that Bob Stoops' interest is real as well.
Tennessee Titans: The Titans will retain head coach Mike Munchak according to Jim Wyatt with the Tennessean.
Texas: Sources tell us James Franklin and Charlie Strong are the two finalists for the Texas job. A decision is expected within 24 hours.
Connecticut: Virginia safeties coach Anthony Poindexter will join UConn's staff as defensive coordinator according to Desmond Conner of the Hartford Courant. Conner also reports that Virginia defensive line coach / assistant special teams coordinator Vincent Brown will also join the defensive staff.
South Florida: South Florida announced earlier today that offensive coordinator Walt Wells and quarterbacks coach Nick Sheridan will not return.
Penn State: Sources at both Miami and Penn State tell us that Al Golden is a strong candidate and will strongly consider the job if offered. Update>> CaneSport is reporting that they have confirmed that Golden has been offered the job.
Baltimore Ravens: Running backs coach Wilbert Montgomery will not return.
Pace University: Sources tell us that Holy Cross defensive coordinator Andy Rondeau has been offered the head coaching position at Pace. Good hire by Pace.
Rhode Island: Sources tell us Iowa State tight ends coach Bill Bleil will be the new offensive coordinator at Rhode Island.
Pittsburgh Steelers: The Steelers have terminated the contract of offensive line coach Jack Bicknell, Jr.
Georgia Tech: Bruce Feldman just reported that Paul Johnson is not happy with the school and hopes that Georgia Tech buys him out. Will let you know what we hear on this... Update> Paul Johnson has responded directly letting us know that "Bruce's tweet is completely false" and that he plans to coach GT into the future.
Jackson State: Sources tell us Mississippi State safeties coach Tony Hughes is a candidate at Jackson State.
Valparaiso (FCS - IN): Sources tell us that Dave Cecchini's staff will include Lehigh receivers coach Jason Miran (as offensive coordinator), University of Chicago defensive coordinator / secondary coach Ernest Moore (as defensive coordinator / defensive backs coach), Lehigh outside linebackers coach Justin Stovall (as linebackers coach) and Lehigh assistant offensive line coach Vincent Giacalone (as offensive line coach).

UCLA: We wrote yesterday that Jim Mora would not be the guy at Texas. Chris Foster of the Los Angeles Times confirmed that last night and Bruce Feldman now has also tweeted today that Mora would remain at UCLA. Mora told Foster on Friday, "It's always flattering when someone is interested in you. But I am committed to being the UCLA coach."
Baylor: "Art Briles will stay at Baylor: You can take it to the bank" - John McClain - 34 year vet of the Houston Chronicle. Update> ...and shortly thereafter Art Briles tweeted what seems to be a message that he's staying. Baylor has now issued a release stating Briles will indeed return to Waco in 2014. Next?
Miami (Ohio): Bethune-Cookman running backs coach Autry Denson has accepted the same position on Chuck Martin's staff at Miami (Ohio).
Washington Redskins: The Redskins are interviewing Dallas Cowboys assistant head coach/special teams coordinator Rich Bisaccia today according to John Clayton of ESPN.
Tennessee Titans: CEO Tommy Smith is meeting with Mike Munchak today. Will update.
Hawaii: Sources tell us that there has been significant interest shown in the linebackers job vacated by Tony Tuioti.
UMass: Former Miami offensive coordinator Mark Whipple will interview for the UMass head coaching job next week, according to the Daily Hampshire-Gazette. Whipple previously served as the head coach of the program from 1998-2003, leading the Minutemen to the I-AA national title in 1998.

Maine: Karlton Creech, the senior associate athletic director at North Carolina, has been tabbed as the new athletic director at Maine. Creech signed a three-year deal that will pay him $175,000 annually.
Eastern Illinois: Michigan defensive backs coach Curt Mallory is interviewing for the head coaching job this week, according to the News-Gazette.
