UTSA: Frank Wilson will earn $650,000 annually over a five-year contract. He was set to earn $675,000 as LSU's running backs coach and recruiting coordinator in 2016.

San Diego Chargers: The Chargers have hired Griff Smith (defensive line), Craig Aukerman (special teams), Nick Siranni (wide receivers) and Shane Steichen (quarterbacks).

Houston Texans: Sean Ryan, who coached the receivers for the Giants, is joining the Texans staff in the same capacity, per multiple reports.

Indianapolis Colts: The Colts have formally hired Joe Philbin as offensive line coach.

Baltimore Ravens: Joe Cullen is joining John Harbuagh's staff as defensive line coach, per Mike Garafolo. Cullen coached the defensive line for the Bucs last season.

Tennessee Titans: Defensive coordinator Ray Horton will interview for the head coaching job on Saturday, per Josina Anderson.

Tampa Bay Bucs: Cincinnati Bengals defensive line coach Jay Hayes, who has been with Marvin Lewis since 2003, has joined the Bucs staff, according to multiple reports. Also, Alex Marvez points out that the Bucs will hire former Dolphins linebackers coach Mark Duffner and former Titans special teams coordinator Nate Kaczor.

West Virginia: As expected, Matt Caponi has now been formally announced as the new safeties coach on Dana Holgorsen's staff. Caponi coached the safeties at Arizona the past four seasons.

Idaho State (FCS): Offensive coordinator / quarterbacks coach Sheldon Cross is the new head coach at Kennedy Catholic HS (WA), per source.

NCAA: At its annual convention Friday, the NCAA passed a rule guaranteeing school medical professionals have complete and final say on when players return after suffering a concussion or other injury. Read more here.

UAB: Per source, Jacksonville State quarterbacks coach Larry Smith will join Bill Clark's staff at UAB.

Tampa Bay Bucs: Former Dolphins linebackers coach Mark Duffner is joining Dirk Koetter's staff in the same position according to Alex Marvez.

Western Michigan: Florida International defensive line coach Tem Lukabu will join Western Michigan's staff as linebackers coach. Lukabu played at Colgate under current Broncos defensive coordinator Ed Pinkham and coached with P.J. Fleck at Rutgers and with the Tampa Bay Bucs.

Arkansas State: A-State has formally announced cornerbacks coach Trooper Taylor has added an assistant head coach title.

Rutgers: Per source, Purdue running backs coach Jafar Williams will join the Rutgers staff.

Florida: Defensive backs coach Kirk Callahan is no longer part of the staff, per GatorCountry and we have now confirmed the news.

New York Giants: Alex Marvez is reporting that defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo will return in the same capacity next season.

Union College (NY): Sources tell FootballScoop Stony Brook offensive coordinator Jeff Behrman will be the new head coach at Union College.

Tampa Bay Bucs: Dirk Koetter noted at his introductory presser today that "the majority of the offensive staff will return," but there will be some changes.

Montana State Northern (NAIA): Montana State University Northern, a NAIA school located in Havre, MT, is looking for an offensive graduate assistant coach to start immediately. LA Harbor (JC - CA): Los Angeles Harbor College is seeking experienced defensive line coach and a defensive backs coach. Must demonstrate great knowledge and ability to teach the position. Must have a passion for recruiting and be a man of great character. This is a stipend only position ($5000-$7000 per year). Other income opportunities may exist for right person. Tamp Bay Bucs: Mike Smith is expected to be the new defensive coordinator in Tampa, per Ian Rapoport.

Detroit Lions: Senior personnel executive Scott McEwen has been let go according to Josh Katzenstein of the Detroit News. McEwen had been with the organization nearly 30 years.

Cincinnati Bengals: The Bengals have promoted quarterbacks coach Ken Zampese to offensive coordinator, and have formally announced the addition of Jim Haslett. Zampese takes over for Hue Jackson who took the head coaching job with the Browns.

NFL head coaching contracts: Ben McAdoo has signed a 4-year deal with the Giants, Chip Kelly has a 4-year deal with the 49ers, and Dirk Koetter has a 5-year deal with the Bucs.

UC Davis: IUP (D-II - PA) defensive line coach, and former Ohio State defensive graduate assistant, Bryant Haines has accepted the linebackers job, per source.

Cleveland Browns: The Browns have announced that special teams coach Chris Tabor is being retained, and the Pioneer Press is reporting that Hue Jackson wants to hire Minnesota running backs coach Kirby Wilson as run game coordinator, but Jackson needs permission from the Vikings to do so.

Southwest Baptist (D-II - MO): Former Lindenwood (D-II - MO) defensive line coach / director of recruiting Austin Borte is joining the staff.

Cincinnati Bengals: Jim Haslett is the new linebackers coach for the Bengals, per Bengals.com.

Scoop him up:Matt Wiegand, a 12 year veteran the coaching profession with experience in the NFL along with varying degrees of college coaching experience, was the assistant offensive line coach for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2014. Prior to that, he was the offensive line coach at UC Davis in 2013 where they had their best finish in the Big Sky Conference since moving up to the FCS level, including the program's first 1,000 yard rusher, and 3rd highest single season rushing total of all time (1,287 yds). Wiegand (who can be reached at 626-372-0883) was a graduate assistant / assistant offensive line coach at Cal and the University of Utah for two seasons each and has worked along side Jeff Tedford at both Cal and Tampa Bay.

Oklahoma: Former Sooner defensive tackle JaMarkus McFarland has joined the staff as a graduate assistant.

Eastern New Mexico: Eastern New Mexico University is looking for a game and has an opening for September 3rd. ENMU will consider all options and could possibly travel. Contact assistant coach Kelly Lee at Kelley.Lee@enmu.edu.

Detroit Lions: Kyle O'Brien has been hired as the new director of player personnel. O'Brien was the director of scouting for the Jacksonville Jaguars the past three seasons.

New Orleans Saints: Adam Caplan of ESPN reports that offensive line coach Bret Ingalls won't return to the staff. A lot of speculation in New Orleans that Dan Roushar will move into that role.

Ball State: Per source, New Orleans Saints assistant offensive line coach Kyle Devan will be the new offensive line coach at Ball State. Devan played in the league with the Colts, Eagles and Titans.

Toledo: Jason Candle has finalized his coaching staff as follows; Brian George (DC / DL), Brian Wright (co-OC / QBs), Robby Discher (TEs / STC), Mike Hallett (OL), Cory Robinson (CBs), Mike Ward (LBs), Ross Watson (safeties), Anthony Johnson (co-OC / RBs) and Derek Sage (WRs). Also, Brad Bichey will be the new strength and conditioning coach and Ricky Ciccone will be the new director of high school relations.

Harding (D-II - AR): Per source, Taylor Mitchell will join the staff as a graduate assistant handling linebackers.

Manchester (D-III - IN): FootballScoop has learned that Alma College (D-III - MI) defensive coordinator Nate Jensen has accepted the head coaching job at Manchester.

Ohio State: Urban Meyer has shuffled his staff as follows; Ed Warinner will continue to call games from the press box and coach the TEs, Tim Hinton (who coached the TEs / fullbacks last season) will move into a senior level executive director for football relations / special assistant to the head coach, and Greg Studrawa will coach the offensive line.

Coffeyville CC (KS): Coffeyville Community College has an immediate opening for a defensive backs coach. This position will come with a full meal plan, room, and an hourly pay scale that will be earned through resident assistant duties. This position allows for a coach to be responsible for their own position while also running their own meetings. Lake Erie College (D-II): University of Mary Hardin-Baylor (D-III - TX) offensive assistant Mike Barainyak has accepted the offensive line job, per source.

Detroit Lions: Jim Caldwell will remain head coach of the Lions. Tim Twentyman, who covers the team, was among the first to report the decision. Caldwell is 18-14 in his two seasons leading the Lions, including a playoff appearance in 2014 when they finished 11-5.

San Francisco 49ers: Chip Kelly will reportedly sign a 4-year deal worth $24 million per Adam Schefter.

Tamp Bay Bucs: The Bucs have formally promoted offensive coordinator Dirk Koetter to head coach and signed him to a five-year deal.

Louisiana Tech: Per source, former Texas Tech defensive backs coach Kevin Curtis is joining the staff to coach the corners and Grambling State wide receivers coach Mickey Joseph will join the staff as well. Rivals has reported the same.

New York Giants: Ben McAdoo is expected to retain secondary coach / safeties coach Dave Merritt, per Alex Marvez.

Kansas: JayhawkSlant is reporting that Todd Bradford has been hired to coach the linebackers. Bradford last coached in 2011 and has been an assistant at Wisconsin, Oklahoma State, Southern Miss, BYU, and Maryland.

Northern Michigan (D-II): Northern Michigan is looking to fill their 2016 schedule. The open date is Sept 10th. Looking for a D-II opponent, preferably a home game. Guarantee is possible. Please contact Rob Boss at rboss@nmu.edu if interested.

Southern Illinois: Per source, former Minnesota graduate assistant Trevor Olson will coach the offensive line, former Golden Gopher offensive quality control coach Nate Griffin will coach the tight ends and fullbacks, and Melvin Rice will coach the secondary.

Austin Peay: Eddie Hicks has been hired to coach the corners, Josh Eargle will coach the offensive line, and Max Thurmond will handle the linebackers and special teams.

Amherst College (D-III - MA): Amherst College is looking to hire an entry level intern coach to work with the outside linebackers. Arizona State: Stanford defensive assistant TJ Rushing is expected to join the Arizona State staff as an assistant coach in the secondary, per SI.
