Virginia: Mike London has announced a number of position changes on his coaching staff. Mike Archer has been promoted to associate head coach and will coach the linebackers instead of safeties, associate head coach for defense and defensive coordinator Jon Tenuta will now handle the safeties, and Brian Wetzel has been added to the staff as a graduate assistant.

St. Lawrence (D-III - NY): St. Lawrence University has an immediate opening for a seasonal assistant football position for the Defensive side of the ball. This opportunity is planned to transition to a GA position targeted for graduate students seeking a master’s degree and includes future eligibility for tuition remission and student health insurance. Bachelor’s degree and collegiate football playing/coaching experience are required. Valid driver’s license and ability to meet the requirements to drive a University vehicle is also required. Tarleton State (D-II - TX): Per source, Texas A&M Commerce (D-II) defensive grad assistant Jack Taylor has accepted the defensive line job at Tarleton State.

Charlie Weis: "It's highly doubtful I will ever coach again."

Monroe College (JC - NY): Monroe College, located in New Rochelle, NY is looking to hire two assistant coaches (TEs and LBs). These are seasonal stipend positions that do not include housing. Curry College (D-III - MA): Per source, Fitchburg State (D-III - MA) defensive line coach O'Dell Jones has accepted the offensive line job.

Illinois: The program has confirmed the hire of Mike Phair as co-defensive coordinator / defensive line coach.Bob Asmussen of the News-Gazette was first to report the move earlier this morning. Phair was the assistant defensive line coach last season with the Tampa Bay Bucs.

Texas Southern: Former Biloxi HS (MS) head coach John Shannon (a former offensive coordinator at Marshall, Toledo, and Troy) has accepted the offensive coordinator job at Texas Southern.

Air Force: Per source, offensive coordinator Mike Thiessen will move from receivers to quarterbacks, newly hired assistant Steed Lobotzke will handle the tight ends, and Derek Lewis will coach the receivers.

Hastings College (NAIA - NE): Hastings College is currently seeking qualified applicants to fill their graduate assistant position on the offensive line. Previous offensive line playing experience is preferred. Duties include coaching the offensive line and all other duties as assigned by the head coach. Applicant must meet requirements for admission into Hastings College’s Masters of Arts in Teaching within the Education Department. This is a 2 year commitment with a 10 month contract each year. Allegheny College (D-III - PA): Allegheny College is currently seeking applications to fill an Assistant Football Coaching position, Defensive Coordinator/Secondary or Linebacker Coach. This position is a full-time, twelve-month appointment with a comprehensive benefits package. The ideal candidate will have previous college coaching experience as a Defensive Coordinator/Secondary or Linebacker Coach with an understanding of the DIII philosophy and its role at a private liberal arts institution. Please submit a letter of application with salary expectations, resume, and three references to hr@allegheny.edu. Quincy (D-II - IL): Defensive line coach Khanis Hubbard has been promoted to defensive coordinator, and Sean Kelly has been promoted to full-time linebackers coach.

Austin College (D-III - TX): Per source, Antoine Manning has been hired to coach the defensive backs.

Bowling Green: Bowling Green has announced Western Illinois defensive coordinator Brian Ward to the same post.

Texas: Gilmer (TX) High School head coach Jeff Traylor has been hired as tight ends coach. Multiple reports state Brick Haley is also expected to be announced as defensive line coach. Update > Texas has now announced both hires.

Cornell (D-III - IA): Per source, Josh Colbert will be the defensive backs coach at Cornell, and will also assist with the track and field program.

LSU: Georgia receivers coach Tony Ball is expected to accept the LSU receivers job, per a report from Georgia's 247 site. Anthony Dasher of Rivals tweets that he has confirmed. We have now also confirmed the move.

North Carolina: Nebraska secondary coach Charlton Warren is joining the staff at UNC in the same capacity, per SI. We have confirmed the hire.

Friends University (NAIA - KS): Per source, Andrew Krause, the former co-defensive coordinator / defensive backs coach at Southwestern College (NAIA - KS), has been hired to coach the defensive backs at Friends University.

Whittier College (D-III - CA): Randy Stewart has been hired as the defensive coordinator / defensive backs coach.

North Carolina Wesleyan: Former Heidelberg (D-III - OH) linebackers coach Corey Fillipovich has been hired as the defensive coordinator, per source.

Furman: Per source, tight ends coach Duane Vaughn has been moved to safeties and has added the duties of recruiting coordinator, Brian Bratton has been hired to coach the receivers, Jimmy Kiser has moved to tight ends, and running backs coach Norval McKenzie has added the title of special teams coordinator.
