Derek Carr lays out a great analogy of how sports are like the recent election (Featured)

Now that we're a few days removed from the most divisive election in recent history, let's put political views to the side for a moment and listen to an important message from Raiders quarterbacks Derek Carr.

When asked about the election, Carr provided a sports analogy that was absolutely spot on and standing ovation worthy.

"It reminds me of football so much, where no matter what you feel, or what you believe, or what should have happened or what you wish happened, or if you're happy it happened, however you are, we still, as a country, have to come together."

"It's like a team, sometimes there is going to be a coach you like, or a sometimes a coach that you don't like. Sometimes there's going to be someone that you wish you had before."

"All I know is that if you want to be successful, if you want to dominate, you've got to come together. I know that as a people, we have a new leader that is going to be in place, and he's going to lay out a vision, but it's really up to us to come together, to love one another, and to serve each other."
