Finding simple ways to spice up practice without disrupting the rhythm and work that needs to get done is something that a number of coaches struggle with, but finding an effective way to do it can really boost morale.
A good example of this happened at Temple's practice over the weekend, where, to tie in a St. Patrick's Day theme, Geoff Collins had a guy dressed as a leprechaun harassing the quarterback with pool noodles to distract him and work ball security during at least one drill, and likely more.
Here's a video of the leprechaun in action.
