You read that right, Urban Meyer has landed a new gig.
Those of you that have had the opportunity to read Urban Meyer's latest book from Above The Line: Lessons in Leadership and Life from a Championship Program by Urban Meyer with Wayne Coffey that was published back in 2017 will recognize the names Tim and Brian Kight. They're the well-known expert speakers on culture, leadership and team building that Urban had brought in to work with the team as regular contributors throughout the season for a number of years.
The Kight's popularized a number of sayings that have gone viral via social media and other various things that those in business, schools, and coaching have latched on to hard including; E+R=O (Event+Response=Outcome), eliminating BCD (Blame, Complain, Defend) behaviors, and - one my of personal favorites - "Doesn't Matter, Get Better."
So how does Urban work into this narrative?
With Urban out of coaching and teaching a class at Ohio State now, Tim decided who better to bring on board as a co-host of the popular Focus3 Podcast than the future Hall of Famer?
No other coach, or perhaps even person out there, is as well versed in taking the teachings and philosophies of the Kights that have been so well received by coaches everywhere and applying them to an actual program than Meyer is. The first episode with Meyer as co-host is set to launch on Wednesday, and is sure to be packed with some quality content for coaches.
