Sunday Morning Update> Fedora has now been fired.
Original post:
North Carolina's season concluded on Saturday with a 34-28 overtime loss to NC State, dropping the Tar Heels to 2-9 on the year and 5-18 over the last two years.
Sources told FootballScoop on Saturday night that Fedora is not likely to return as North Carolina's head coach. Inside Carolinaalso reported the same.
However, sources told FootballScoop that Fedora has a planned meeting with UNC AD Bubba Cunningham on Sunday morning and no definitive action is expected until the conclusion of that meeting.
After we published our report, Cunningham confirmed no decision on Fedora's future had been made.
In seven seasons total leading the Tar Heels, Fedora is 45-43 overall and 28-28 in ACC play.
As always, stay tuned to The Scoop for the latest.
