Shorter: Shorter Universityโ€™s Department of Strength and Conditioning is now accepting applications for 2 Strength and Conditioning Intern Coaches for the Spring Semester of 2019. Daily responsibilities will include but are not limited to; assisting with supervision and execution of strength training programs for Football and all Olympic Sports, teaching student athletes proper technique and equipment use, attending to the daily maintenance of the training facilities and participation in weekly projects and professional development throughout the internship program. Candidates will have the opportunity to program, implement, and supervise a strength and conditioning program for some assigned sports. No monetary compensation will be provided. Ideal candidates must have a bachelorโ€™s degree or be in the last semester of coursework for an undergraduate degree in exercise physiology or related field of study. Certification from one or more of the following (NSCA, CSCS; CSCCA, SCCC; USAW) are preferred. Inquiries must be received by Dec 31st. Lowndes HS (GA): Lowndes HS, a large high school in Georgia, is now accepting resumes for the Strength and Conditioning Coordinator Position. The requirements for the position include a valid Georgia Teaching certificate in Health and Physical Education. Incumbents shall also possess a current Strength and Conditioning Specialist Certification from the National Strength and Conditioning Association, as well as a current CPR/AED card. The position will cover all 17 Varsity Sports, and is a strength and conditioning only position with no on the field requirements.
