Louisiana-Lafayette: The University of Louisiana Lafayette football Strength and Conditioning Staff is looking for qualified strength and conditioning interns for the 2018 spring semester. Responsibilities: various duties within the football strength & conditioning department including weight room maintenance/cleaning, workout setups, and other duties assigned by the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach. Hours will vary throughout the semester and may include early morning, late afternoon hours, and weekends. This is an UNPAID volunteer internship. However, candidates will receive hands on Division I Intercollegiate experience with football, college credit towards graduation if applicable and access to continuing education resources, CSCS certification prep, networking opportunities, potential future recommendation for professional advancement and continuing mentorship beyond completion of the internship. Preferred qualifications: Earned or Pursuing Bachelorβs or Masterβs Degree in exercise science or related field; Earned or pursuing NSCA-CSCS, USAW or equivalent certifications, CPR certification. Experience in a Strength and Conditioning Program or having previous collegiate athletics experience is plus. Virginia: Shawn Griswold has been named director of football development and performance. He previously worked as Arizona State's head coach for sports performance.
