Eastern Illinois: Jordan Davis has been hired as the Panthers football strength coach. Davis spent the past two years in a graduate assistant role.

Southern Miss: The University of Southern Mississippi is now accepting applications for a graduate assistant sports nutritionist. This position manages all aspects of nutritional services for student-athletes at the University of Southern Mississippi. The position reports directly to the Director of Sports Nutrition. Duties include but are not limited to: working with the Director of Sports Nutrition to provide nutritional items for student- athletes that complement the body composition goals of each student; providing educational and nutritional counseling to student-athletes and coaches; consulting with the sports medicine staff regarding illnesses/injuries; consulting with coaching staff regarding performance standards; developing educational material; performing body composition and nutritional analysis; collaborating with on campus food vendors; producing nutritional items for the fueling station and other duties as assigned. The successful candidate must possess a Bachelor’s Degree and be a Registered Dietician who is eligible for licensure in the state of Mississippi. The candidate must have a high level of sports-specific nutrition knowledge and be well versed in body composition analysis, performance nutrition and eating disorders. Effective written and oral communication skills are critical. The candidate must be able to collaborate with coaches, sports medicine and strength and coaching personnel. Must have knowledge of and adhere to FERPA/HIPPA and NCAA, University of Southern Mississippi and state of Mississippi rules and regulations. Monmouth (NJ): Monmouth University, located in West Long Branch, NJ is accepting applications for Strength and Conditioning Volunteer Interns. This is an unpaid position that will work primarily with Football (FCS-Big South) and Men’s/Women’s Basketball. Interns will have the opportunity to gain college credit towards graduation, if applicable, as well as valuable professional experience in the field of strength & conditioning at the D1 collegiate level. Duties include: ACTIVE coaching during all training sessions, participation in the intern curriculum, teaching proper technique and safety, set up and break down of equipment the varsity weight room/on the field, enforce the rules and philosophy of the athletics department, serve as a positive role model for all student-athletes, and learn proper communication with coaches, student-athletes, and sports medicine staff. Applicants must be highly motivated, energetic, and have a strong desire to pursue a career in strength and conditioning. Preferred qualifications include CPR/First Aid Certification, currently working towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science or in a related field, and have completed or are working toward a CSCS or SCCC certification.
