New York Jets: The New York Jets Strength & Conditioning Staff is currently accepting applications for a 2018 Off-Season Program volunteer internship position. This is an unpaid position that is responsible for assisting the New York Jets Strength and Conditioning staff with the implementation of the Off-Season program. The successful candidate will get hands on experience working with professional athletes. Duties include set up and break down of all workouts, maintenance and upkeep of the weight room and facility. Required qualifications include, a desire to become a strength and conditioning professional, a strong work ethic, and current pursuit of an undergraduate or graduate degree in exercise science or a related course of study. Candidates MUST be able to receive college course credit for participation in this internship to be considered. Preferred qualifications include certification from a recognized governing body, previous coaching experience, or experience competing in collegiate athletics. There is no monetary compensation, and housing will not be provided. Please make sure that this position is economically feasible for you and that you meet all requirements before applying. UNLV: The UNLV Football Strength and Conditioning Program is seeking elite candidates for the Winter/Spring 2018 VOLUNTEER internship program. Qualified candidates will work directly with Football, and will have the opportunity to assist in all training sessions (in compliance with NCAA rules) with the implementation of individualized, comprehensive, sport-specific injury prevention and performance enhancement programs. This is an UNPAID opportunity that provides experience working in a Division I FBS environment within the Mountain West Conference. If this is not an economically feasible option, please do not apply. Required qualifications: current CPR / AED; completion of an undergraduate degree in Exercise Science or a related field. South Alabama: The University of South Alabama Strength and Conditioning Department is accepting applications for football interns for Spring and Summer 2018. This position offers Division I experience, training and the opportunity of advancement in the field of strength and conditioning. Responsibilities will include: assist the Football Strength and Conditioning staff in the supervision and training of the South Alabama football program; assist with daily cleaning and maintenance duties; assist in the set-up and break-down of equipment for every workout and spotting athletes. Minimum Qualifications: must have a strong work-ethic, passion for the strength and conditioning field and a desire to develop the characteristics necessary to become a successful strength and conditioning coach. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in exercise science or related field and pursuing CSCS or relevant certification from one of the following: NSCA, CSCS; CSCCA, SCCC; USAW and CPR –First Aid certification.
