UNLV: The University Of Nevada Las Vegas Department Of Athletic Performance is accepting applications for the Summer 2017 Athletic Performance Internship Curriculum. This VOLUNTEER internship will expose participants to all facets of Athletic Performance. This is an UNPAID position that will last for the duration of the summer semester. Interns will complete both an academic and practical curriculum. Academic experiences include: weekly reading assignments, program design projects, daily meetings/discussions with full time staff members, and weekly evaluations. Practical experiences include: hands on experience in running a Division I Athletic Performance Department, staff meetings, daily maintenance, technology implementation and record keeping. Interns will receive experience working with various teams in a Division I training environment, have the potential to earn recommendations for future career opportunities, and receive college credit if applicable. Intern qualifications include: enrollment in a bachelorβs/masterβs program in exercise science or related field, punctuality, enthusiasm, and strong work ethic. Preferred qualifications include: SCCC or CSCS certification, CPR/First Aid certification. (APPLICATION DEADLINE- My 20 th ) Female athletes are strongly encouraged to apply.
