Tulane: Tulane University Strength and Conditioning is currently seeking applicants for 3 volunteer UNPAID internships for BOTH Football (2) and Olympic Sports (1) for the Fall Semester 2017. This position will run from August 28 to December 8. Required qualifications: Currently pursuing bachelors or masters degree in exercise science or a related field and a strong desire to become a Collegiate Strength & Conditioning Coach. Preferred qualifications: Experience as a collegiate athlete and currently pursuing or possessing NSCA, USAW, or CSCCa certification(s). Transylvania (D-III - KY): The Transylvania University Strength & Conditioning Department is accepting applications for one Graduate Intern for the 2017-2018 academic year. This is an unpaid position. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting the Strength & Conditioning staff with the implementation of sport specific injury prevention, strength, speed, agility, flexibility, mobility, and energy system training programs. Once initial training is complete you will be assigned 2-3 teams for which you will design and implement programs. Potential Candidates: Prior to the beginning of the internship period, candidates must have completed a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and have passed either the CSCS or SCCC. Candidates must have integrity, self-motivation, enthusiasm, and a strong willingness to learn. The ability to demonstrate effective organization and communication skills is necessary. Pace (D-II - NY): The Pace University Strength and Conditioning department is accepting applications for our Unpaid Internship Program. Start Date will be August 1or sooner. Preferred skills include: Experience with Power/Olympic lifting movements and best practices; excellent communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.Interns will focus on communications while learning every aspect of how a strength and conditioning office operates with football and several nationally ranked varsity teams in the highly competitive Northeast-10 Conference and will leave the program fully prepared for the next step in their career. Learning objectives will be split into three segments, Summer Phase, Fall Phase and Spring Phase. Salary: This is an unpaid internship. Course/internship credit if the intern is a student and their host institution approves the internship. Coastal Carolina: Coastal Carolina University is now accepting applications for the position of Strength and Conditioning FALLVOLUNTEER INTERN. Daily responsibilities will include but are not limited to; assisting with supervision and execution of strength training programs for various sports, teaching student athletes proper technique and equipment use, attending to the daily maintenance of the training facilities, participation in weekly projects, and professional development throughout the internship program. Intern qualifications include: punctuality; enthusiasm; strong work ethic; and strong communication skills Preferred qualifications include: senior status or completion of a bachelor's degree in exercise science or related field; SCCC, CSCS certification; CPR certification. Interns will receive experience working for a highly competitive Division I University, have the potential to earn recommendations for future career opportunities, and receive college credit if applicable.
