Sacred Heart (FCS - CT): The Sacred Heart University Strength & Conditioning Department is seeking a paid intern to work from August 2018 to May 2019 (with possible contract renewel). This position will pay $15,000 and will be working exclusively with Men's & Women's Ice Hockey and Track & Field. All past interns that have held this position have gone on to get full-time jobs in Collegiate Strength & Conditioning. Florida State: Florida State Strength and Conditioning Department is accepting applications for interns for WINTER/SPRING 2019. This is a volunteer, UNPAID, position and offers Division I experience and training in an educational environment and the opportunity for future recommendations or opportunities in the field of strength and conditioning. Responsibilities will include: assist the Football Strength and Conditioning staff in the training of the Florida State University’s Division I football program; assist with daily administrative and maintenance duties; assist in the set-up and break-down of equipment for every workout; spotting athletes; and participate in weekly projects and assignments for the duration of the internship. The internship would start date would be in January and end in April. Minimum Qualifications: must have a strong work-ethic, enthusiasm and a desire to develop the characteristics necessary to become a successful strength and conditioning coach. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in exercise science or related field and pursuing CSCS or relevant certification from one of the following: NSCA, CSCS; CSCCA, SCCC; USAW and CPR –First Aid certification.
