Jeff Brohm: Quite a while back we reported that Purdue was going aggressive to keep Brohm. Tonight, Pat Forde is reporting that Purdue is "believed to have sweetened Brohm's current $4 million per-year deal to as much as $6 million annually, while offering incentives to stay." Forde added that Louisville's offer was walked up to $5 million per year.
Charlotte: JMU head coach Mike Houston acknowledged this afternoon that Charlotte has offered him the job. This is a tricky one for all involved.
Houston: As we reported earlier, Houston has now released...new 3 year deals for both Kendal Briles and OL coach Randy Clements. Numbers weren't released; but we can confirm they are significant.
Louisville: Source tells FootballScoop Vince Tyra has setup additional meetings (see bottom for update).
Jeff Brohm: Jeff Brohm has chosen to remain at Purdue.
North Carolina: Texas A&M tight ends coach Tim Brewster will join Mack Brown's staff in the same capacity reports A&M's 247 site.
Kansas State: "I’ve never spoken to anybody about a particular candidate," K-State AD Gene Taylor tells the Manhattan (Kan.) Mercury.
Jackson State (FCS - MS): John Hendrick has been elevated from interim to full-time head coach, the program has announced. Hendrick led Jackson State to a 2-1 record as interim head coach.
Florida State: FSU president John Trasher told Warchant he expects a few of Willie Taggart's assistants to take other jobs this winter, while pledging Taggart will have the resources necessary to properly fill those vacancies.
Quincy (D-II - IL): Offensive coordinator Khanis Hubbard and quarterbacks coach Sam Fisk will not return and a search for their replacement is underway, per the Herald-Whig. Also, head coach Gary Bass plans to go back to coaching the offensive line.
Georgia Tech: As soon as the news came out about Paul Johnson stepping down a number of outlets started floating one very interesting name for the job. A look at the early candidates for the job.
Tennessee: Here's an update on the Tennessee offensive coordinator search, where the top two options have backgrounds similar to Jeremy Pruitt's.

Texas State: This morning we wrote that he had become the target of the search, Keff Ciardello has now reported and we can confirm, Jake Spavital has accepted the head coaching position at Texas State. Some interesting news in there as well about his planned offensive coordinator. Update: The school has announced the hire.
Manchester (D-III - IN): Manchester is looking to hire a full-time defensive assistant coach. Bachelor's degree and coaching / playing experience preferred at the Division III level. North Carolina: Per sources, the following coaches will not be retained by Mack Brown -- quarterbacks coach Keith Heckendorf, wide receivers coach/special teams coordinator Luke Paschall, defensive line coach Deke Adams, cornerbacks coach Henry Baker, linebackers coach Mike Ekeler, and strength and conditioning coach Lou Hernandez.

Louisville: Here's an update on where Louisville's pursuit of Jeff Brohm stands as of this hour.
Tulsa: Philip Montgomery will return for a fifth season in 2019. “Coach is a good man,” AD Derrick Gragg told the Tulsa World. “He runs a clean program. He’s a player’s coach. They play hard for him. They haven’t quit." Tulsa went 3-9 in 2018 and is 5-19 overall after going 10-3 in 2016.
Houston: Offensive coordinator Kendal Briles has agreed to a contract extension and a raise that would place him among the top 30 paid offensive coordinators in college football, per GoCoogs.com. Fox 26 adds that Briles will continue as associate head coach / offensive coordinator / quarterbacks coach. As we mentioned this morning, Briles had garnered interest for the opening at Texas State, but Houston was making a run at keeping him.
Jacksonville Jaguars: Following the dismissal of Nathaniel Hackett, the Jags have named quarterbacks coach Scott Milanovich their interim offensive coordinator for the rest of 2018. Prior to joining Doug Marrone's staff, Milanovich won the Grey Cup as the head coach of the Toronto Argonauts.
Michigan Tech (D-II): Per source, offensive line coach David Sartin will not return. Sartin spent the past decade with the Michigan Tech program.
Texas Southern (FCS): Here's an update on the search at Texas Southern located in Houston. The Tigers are looking to hire a Power 5 assistant.
Texas State: Houston is making a strong play to retain Kendal Briles and Texas State now has a strong target in mind sources tell FootballScoop.
Bowling Green: Boston College offensive coordinator Scot Loeffler will be the new head coach at Bowling Green.
Iowa State: Matt Campbell says he will be at Iowa State in 2019.

Western Kentucky: Tyson Helton will receive an annual base salary of $800k, and he will have an opportunity to make an additional $400k in incentives, per the WKU Herald. Also, Tennessee agreed to waive Helton's buyout of $860k for leaving before March 1, according to Blake Toppmeyer.

Auburn: According to a report yesterday, Gus Malzahn is close to agreeing to a deal that would include a number of concessions for him to remain the head coach at Auburn.
