Chip Kelly: Multiple sources tell FootballScoop UCLA's contingent has met with Chip Kelly. We also are told in addition to Florida and UCLA, another program has contacted Kelly's representatives to discuss possibilities should an opening occur at their University. Pat Dooley, who covers the Gators, added a note this afternoon stating Chip "has a decision to make" and that Florida is not moving on. We understand every university has impressed upon Chip that timing is of the essence (with regards to recruiting & the early signing period this year) and accordingly would expect things to move fairly quickly over the coming days. Texas A&M: Kevin Sumlin will be let go following the final game against LSU Saturday reports Brent Zwerneman of the Houston Chronicle citing multiple people with knowledge of the situation. Zwerneman adds that Sumlin is expected to be dismissed in the "day or days following" the LSU game and that an A&M victory would not save his job. The report goes on to say Jimbo Fisher will be the Aggies top target.

Quincy (D-II - IL): Gary Bass has been named QU's full-time head coach. He led the team in 2017 on an interim basis. "I'm extremely humbled and grateful for this opportunity to be the head football coach at Quincy University. I've spent the last six seasons as a part of the QU football program and feel strongly that this program is headed in the right direction," he said.

Oakland Raiders: The Raiders have fired defensive coordinator Ken Norton Jr. reports Mike Silver. Norton has served as defensive coordinator the past three seasons for the Raiders. Prior to joining the Raiders, Norton was with Pete Carroll in Seattle & at USC. Adam Schefter reports former Chargers defensive coordinator John Pagano will take over as DC for the Raiders.
Muhlenberg (D-III - PA): After three seasons as the offensive coordinator, Nate Milne has been tabbed as the new head coach of the Mules program. Milne succeeds Mike Donnelly, who sadly passed away back in October after leading the program for more than two decades. Athletic director Corey Goff stepped in following Donnelly's passing to help lead the team to a remarkable 8-3 finish this year.
Tennessee Tech (FCS): Per source, a number of coaches on staff have been let go. Associate head coach and offensive coordinator Tyree Foreman continues to serve as acting head coach until a new head coach is named.
Texas A&M: Kevin Sumlin said Tuesday he expects to be at A&M in 2018. "Why wouldn't I?" he said. Sumlin said he has not been told otherwise.

Alabama State (FCS): Sources tell FootballScoop, Troy corners coach / recruiting coordinator Al Pogue and Texas Southern head coach (& former Miami of Ohio head coach) Mike Haywood are among the strong candidates for the head coaching position at Alabama State.
Air Force Prep: The US Air Force Academy Preparatory School is accepting applications for an offensive coaching position. AF Prep is located on base at the Air Force Academy and plays a JUCO schedule. A minimum of high school coaching experience is required, but college experience is preferred. Applicants may be required to teach a class in English, Science, or Math during the spring quarters. As a result, applicants must have a bachelor's in one of those disciplines and 3 years of teaching experience or a master's in a field related to one of those disciplines. Presentation College (NAIA - SD): Interim head coach Chuck Miesbauer has had the interim tag removed and now takes over as the second head coach in program history. Miesbauer took over as interim head coach following the resignation of Andrew Carr back on July 18th and led the program to a 4-6 mark.
Wayne State College (D-II – NE): Wayne State College is seeking a restricted earnings coach to work with either the WRs, RBs, or TEs. Responsibilities will include coaching your own position as well as running your own meetings, video breakdown, scout cards, will be given a designated recruiting area, and any other responsibilities assigned by the head coach or offensive coordinator. Salary is $10,000 along with camp money. There are no benefits provided. Previous coaching/playing experience required. Illinois State (FCS): Head coach Brock Spack has announced that co-offensive coordinators Billy Dicken (QBs) and Dan Clark (OL), as well as wide receivers coach Kane Keirnan have been let go.
Adams State (D-II - CO): Adams State University is seeking applicants for the position of Defensive Coordinator. This position includes but is not limited to overseeing the defensive staff, coaching a position group, Special Teams responsibilities, game planning and calling the defense. As well as recruiting a specific region and other administrative duties. This is a full benefits position. Wayne State College (D-II - NE): Wayne State College has an immediate opening for one offensive graduate assistant coach.The graduate assistant’s primary coaching responsibilities will be working with the Running Backs. Previous experience is required. The position requires a highly motivated person to assist with the implementation of practices, evaluation of prospective student athletes, off and on campus recruiting, scouting opponents, and other duties as assigned by the head coach. Applicants must qualify for the State of Nebraska defensive driving certificate. Graduate Assistantships are granted based on acceptance into Graduate School at Wayne State College.
