Memphis: Happy to pass along the news that linebackers coach Dan Lanning's wife Sauphia rang the bell, she is cancer free.

Auburn: Director of football operations Jamie Croley has resigned to pursue other opportunities, according to Brandon Marcello of Auburn Undercover. Croley is Gus Malzahn's brother-in-law and has served as his DFO since Malzahn became head coach at Arkansas State. Assistant AD for football David Gunn has also stepped down according to James Crepea.

Tennessee Titans: According to Adam Caplan, college scout Jon Salge will be promoted to director of college scouting after 11 years with the organization.

ESPN: Tim Tebow has signed a multi-year extension with ESPN to remain on "SEC Nation" and continue in his role with the network's College Football Playoff coverage.

Penn State: Asked if a contract extension could be on the way for head coach James Franklin, athletic director Sandy Barbour stated, "stay tuned," according to Penn Live. Franklin's current deal runs through 2019 and the program is coming off a Big Ten title and Rose Bowl appearance.

Delta State (D-II - MS): Delta State University is seeking a defensive graduate assistant working with outside linebackers. A bachelor’s degree and valid driver’s license is required. This position includes graduate school tuition and an on-campus meal plan. Buffalo Bills: Green Bay Packers director of player personnel Brian Gutekunst is interviewing for the Bills GM job today, per Ian Rapoport.

Arkansas at Monticello (D-II): University of Arkansas at Monticello is accepting applications for Tight End/H-Back offensive graduate assistants. The candidate will assist with all aspects of a NCAA Division II football program including compliance with NCAA and Univ. rules, coaching tight end, recruiting, video editing and breakdown and other duties as assigned by the head coach. Previous playing and/or coaching experience with Tight Ends are required. Must be able to be admitted to the Graduate School per University Policy. Rose Hulman (D-III - IN): Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology has two graduate assistant positions open, one offense and one defense. Quincy (D-II - IL): Offensive coordinator Gary Bass has been named interim head coach through the end of the 2017 season. Defensive coordinator Khanis Hubbard has been promoted to interim associate head coach. Head coach Tom Pajic left the program last week to become director of player personnel at Temple.

CBS: The network has hired former NFL wide receiver Nate Burleson to its NFL Today pregame show.

ESPN: Jerome Bettis has been let go as an analyst, per Sporting News.

Sam Houston State (FCS - TX): Siddiq Hayes, who spent last season as a quality control assistant, has been promoted to defensive tackles coach.

Abilene Christian (FCS - TX): Abilene Christian University located in Abilene, Texas has an immediate opening for a defensive assistant position. Compensation includes an $8,500 stipend and NO benefits. Housing is NOT included in the package. This is a 10-Month position. Position includes, but is not limited to: assisting with a defensive position on the field and in the meeting room, video editing/coordinating, film sharing, manage and direct offensive scout team, weekly data input, weekly analytics, and other duties assigned by the head coach. Ideal candidates are super-organized and have extreme knowledge in Hudl/video editing, proficiency in Microsoft excel, word, power point and other computer skills. Albany State (D-II - GA): Newland Isaac, the running backs coach at Charleston Southern for the past five seasons, has joined the staff as offensive coordinator.

San Bernardino Valley (JC - CA): Per source, Ventura (JC - CA) offensive coordinator Daniel Algattas has been hired to replace interim head coach Jason Vandiver.

Washington Redskins: Over the weekend, team president Bruce Allen noted that no decision has been made on the vacant GM position, which has been open since March following the dismissal of Scot McCloughan after two seasons.

Greenville (D-III - IL): Greenville University is seeking applications for a graduate assistant position. The position requires a self-motivated person to assist with the mentoring of student athletes, film coordinator duties, coaching a position (OL, DB or LB), recruiting, scouting and other duties assigned by the head football coach (Previous Coaching Experience preferred). This is a 11 month renewable position that includes a tuition waiver, a small monthly stipend, and meal plan. Greenville College is a Free Methodist liberal arts college whose faculty and staff affirm a Statement of Faith and adhere to lifestyle expectations.
