Big Ten: USA Today is reporting that Delaney, who was credited with approximately $2.4 million of compensation in 2015, "became fully eligible for future bonus payments pursuant to his employment contract" in 2016...and USA Today estimates those future payments at $20 million.
UAB: Bill Clark has promoted offensive analyst Hindley Bingham to running backs coach. Bingham will step in for Randy Pippin, who is moving into the role of director of player relations after coaching the running backs since 2015.
Davenport (D-II - MI): Sparky McEwen has finalized his with the following additions: Jim Purtill (OC / QBs), Aaron Doriot (assistant WRs), Bart Estola (special teams / DBs), Alvance Robinson (WRs), and Travis Zajkowski (RBs). The following coaches have been retained from the previous staff, and many have new titles; defensive coordinator / special teams coordinator Greg Huster is no defensive coordinator / recruiting coordinator, defensive backs coach Adrian McEwen has added the title of pass game coordinator, Lavelle Walker will remain as linebackers coach, Ty Lynch will remain defensive line coach, offensive line coach Zac Hueter has added run game coordinator title, and Matt Zanellato has moved from running backs to tight ends.
Indianapolis Colts: The Colts have officially hired Morocco Brown as director of college scouting, Kyle Childress as college scouting coordinator, Brian Decker as player personnel strategist, and Ed Dodds and Rex Hogan as vice presidents of player personnel.
Eastern New Mexico (D-II): Eastern New Mexico University is now accepting applicants for graduate assistant positions. Compensation includes $8500. Job duties include coaching a position, recruiting area, and being proficient in HUDL. Additional duties within the HPE department may be assigned as well. Qualified candidates must apply and gain admittance into Eastern New Mexico Graduate School. Minimum requirements are a 3.o GPA. Memphis: Head coach Mike Norvell has signed a 1-year extension taking him through 2021 with a "significant" salary bump for assistants, according to SI's Pete Thamel. Norvell originally inked a 5-year deal that paid him $1.8 million in 2016 before leading the Tigers to an 8-5 mark in his first year on the job. Memphis paid Norvell's assistants $2.15 million in '16, sixth-most among AAC public schools according to USA Today. Update >> Memphis has announced that the salary pool for assistant coaches and staff has been increased by $250,000.
Adrian (D-III - MI): Adrian College is seeking a part-time coach for the 2017 season preferrably local with offensive experience. Employment will begin August 1st and conclude at the end of the season. Compensation includes a small stipend with no meals or housing. Minnesota State Community and Technical College (JC): Randy Elenberger has accepted the offensive line job, per source. Elenberger most recently coached the running backs, fullbacks and tight ends at Jamestown (NAIA - ND).
Minnesota - Morris (D-III): The University of Minnesota - Morris has reopened its search for 3 coaching interns. 1) Defensive Back position is 9 months, August 1-April 30, with $9,000 stipend. No housing or meals. Coach position group, video assistance, special teams assignment, and emphasis in recruiting. 2) WR/Slots, seasonal, August 1 -November 15, $3,500 stipend. No housing or meals.
