Florida State: Asked about the Oregon job, Willie Taggart said Friday, "I'm still the coach (at Oregon) and I'm not addressing any rumors." Sounds like Jimbo.

Penn State: James Franklin has brought back a familiar face...Tyler Bowen, Maryland's offensive line coach, is coming to Penn State to serve as tight ends coach. Bowen previously played under and served as a grad assistant for Franklin. Tight ends coach Ricky Rahne has been promoted to offensive coordinator / quarterbacks. Defensive consultant Phil Galiano is being promoted to assistant defensive line / special teams coordinator.

Tennessee: Phillip Fulmer's appointment letter calls for an annual salary of $575,000. It does not contain a term of appointment & it notes the John Currie has been suspended with pay pending an investigation related to termination for cause tweets Jimmy Hyams.

Tennessee: The University sent out another release after Phillip Fulmer's introductory press conference this afternoon clarifying that his role is not "acting director of athletics" as their initial release said; but clarifying that he is the director of athletics.

Arkansas: The Razorbacks will pay Bret Bielema a $11.8 million buyout for the final three years of his deal, not the $5.9 million his contract calls for reports Mark Schlabach.

Tennessee: Official word from Tennessee at their afternoon presser is that AD John Currie has been "suspended with pay." Specific financial terms are not known at this time, Chancellor Beverly Davenport noted.

Hugh Freeze: Hugh released a statement this afternoon. He's coming back to coaching, soon.

Tennessee: ESPN's Chris Low tweets, "With Phillip Fulmer stepping in as AD, look for the Vols to reset on their coaching search and not rush into something." Volquest adds that Fulmer has a two-year contract to serve as AD. Tennessee's release titles Fulmer acting director of athletics.

Florida State: Pete Thamel relays his understanding is Florida State's top two candidates are Willie Taggart and Justin Fuente. Sources tell FootballScoop Taggart is expected to be offered the poistion.

Texas A&M: ESPN's Mark Schlabach is reporting Jimbo's contract is 10 years, $75 million. Schlabach notes Jimbo's average of $7.5 million over the life is second only to Saban's current deal which averages $8.1 million.

Arkansas: When asked about the Arkansas job, Gus Malzahn said today, "This is the SEC Championship and I'm the head coach of Auburn."

Oregon State: Jonathan Smith will get a 5-year contract worth $1.9 million per year, tweets Danny Moran for The Oregonian. Gary Andersen made $2.65 million this year.

Tennessee: Philip Fulmer will be named AD at Tennessee's 4 p.m. ET press conference today, tweets Jimmy Hyams. It remains to be seen if Fulmer will be full-time or interim AD, but Hyams adds that Fulmer's hiring will allow the pool of candidates to "open up."

Texas A&M: Florida State'sJimbo Fisher is officially leaving for Texas A&M, according to reports.

Oklahoma State: Mike Gundy is getting a salary increase from $4.325 million per year, to $5 million annually, per a report from Mark Cooper of the Tulsa World. The only Big 12 coaches that will make more than Gundy now are Tom Herman at Texas ($5.49 million) and Gary Patterson at TCU ($5.1 million). Gundy's buyout also increases from $3 million to $5 million.

Illinois State (FCS): Kurt Beathard, who led the Redbird offense in 2014-2015, is returning to the staff as offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach. Beathard was the offensive coordinator for the program in 2014 when they made a run to the FCS title game and then stepped down in June 2016 to spend more time with his family.

Southwestern Oklahoma State (D-II): Aman Anand has jioned the staff to coach the defensive line, per source. Anand previously worked as a defensive graduate assistant at Utah State.

Florida State: Seminole Boosters will hold a 3 p.m. ET meeting with school president John Thrasher in attendance, tweets Skip Foster of the Tallahassee Democrat.

Oklahoma State: Mike Gundy's compensation is on the agenda for today's board of regents meeting, according to the Tulsa World. Gundy signed a 5-year extension worth $22.25 million and an automatic rollover this past summer.

Montana: Bobby Hauck has formally been announced as the new head coach and will work under a 3-year contract taking him through the 2020 season. Hauck went 80-17 in his first stint leading the Montana program from 2003-2009.

Tennessee: If the Vols fired AD John Currie for cause they potentially owe him nothing. However, Jesse Simonton tweets, per his contract, if he is being fired for convenience, the Vols owe his $100,000 for each of the next 54 months (for those slow at math, that's $5.4 million). Clearly John Currie leaned on his friend Jeff Long's advice when structuring his contract.

Ole Miss: The Ole Miss sanctions are in.

Tennessee: Vols AD John Currie has been fired, according to a tweet from Chynna Greene of WVLT-TV in Knoxville. Update: Yes, John Currie has been fired. Our update from this morning on where things stood between Tennessee, Mike Leach and John Currie.

Mike Leach: Late last night reports surfaced that Mike Leach had been offered the job at Tennessee. Sources tell us that a meeting took place, but we haven't verified that an offer is on the table for Leach. Read more on the developing situation here.

UCLA: FootballScoop reported last night - per sources - Chip Kelly plans to make Cal defensive line coach Jerry Azzinaro his defensive coordinator at UCLA. Read more on the move in last night's scoop.

Davidson (FCS - NC): Safeties coach and recruiting coordinator Justin Hood has been named the interim head coach.

LA Harbor (JC - CA): Los Angeles Harbor has an opening for a Defensive Coordinator. This is a stipend position with the possibility of teaching for a qualified candidate. Would like the person to start ASAP. Must have Coordinator experience. Must have Bachelorโ€™s degree and at least 2 yearsโ€™ experience or AA degree and 6 years of experience.
