You may not know this, but Randy Moss is perhaps the most influential figure in this site's editorial vision.
In fact, his most famous quote is branded on the official FootballScoop Twitter account.

Okay, Moss's relationship with this site isn't official, but his legacy does inform our vision that football is a game that can change young mens' lives, but it is a game and games are supposed to be fun.
He also proves true the first ethos, as evidenced by this clip taken from Moss's press conference after it was announced he would enter the Minnesota Vikings Hall of Fame.
Dennis Green was the head coach that drafted Moss back in 1998. Despite having the most overall talent in that draft, character questions caused Moss to fall to the Vikings at No. 21. Green took a chance on Moss, and the receiver rewarded him by averaging 77 grabs for 1,349 yards and 13 touchdowns in the four seasons the pair was together, including two trips to the NFC Championship. Green was eventually fired after one down season, while Moss went on to a future Pro Football Hall of Fame career as perhaps the best big play receiver in NFL history (he ranks third in career receiving yards and second in touchdowns while placing 15th in catches).
Green passed away in July, and Moss was asked what he'd say to the coach who gave him a chance if he had the opportunity today.
"Coach Green gave me an opportunity, man. And I told him, 'Coach, you're not going to regret this.' So you ask me what I would say to him? I would probably just fall in his arms and give him a hug."
Randy Moss was quite possibly the most talented player of his generation. And if he can be moved to tears by the power of coaching, no player is too talented to be impacted by good coaching.
