Matt Campbell has built the Iowa State program from the Big 12 cellar to current conference leader in just his second season.
In today's world where athletic directors are making decisions about the program's future faster and faster, giving coaches less and less time to get things on track, Campbell is the poster boy for how athletic directors want things to work out. So far at least.
If you're like most coaches, you want to know how Campbell has orchestrated the turnaround. What's he doing at practice? What type of things are he and his staff emphasizing around the facility?
Well thanks to this tweet from Dennis Dodd, here's a peek inside part of that question with the Cyclone Code of Conduct.
All of those bullet points have very, very little to do do with football, and everything to do with being a person of character. Combine that with stuff like their schemes, how they get their kids to execute that scheme, and a million other things, and you start to scratch the surface of how Campbell and his staff are turning things around in Ames.
