Pitt has announced that offensive coordinator / quarterbacks coach Shawn Watson and wide receivers coach Kevin Sherman will not return.
Watson just finished his second season as Pat Narduzzi's offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach. He previously served as the offensive coordinator at Texas, Louisville, Nebraska, and Colorado and previously served as the head coach at Southern Illinois (FCS) in the mid-90's.
Watson was hired to replace Matt Canada, following the coaches departure for LSU in 2015.
Pitt will now be looking for it's fourth offensive coordinator under Narduzzi since he arrived at Pitt in 2015. Jim Chaney, who Narduzzi hired upon first taking the job, left after one season to become the offensive coordinator / quarterbacks coach at Georgia.
Sherman just wrapped up his fourth season working with the Pitt wide receivers. He previously coached the wide receivers at Purdue, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest, Ohio, VMUI, Methodist and Ferrum.
