Newman (LA): Legendary basketball and baseball coach, and current athletic director, Billy Fitzgerald is retiring today. Coach Fitz has been part of the Newman community for approximately 40 years. No words can explain what he has meant to the school. You'll be missed, Coach.
Argyle Liberty Christian (TX): In a stunner, head coach Greg Price has been let go. Price joined the Warriors' staff as offensive line coach in 1997, was promoted to offensive coordinator in 2003 and compiled a 41-23 mark in five seasons as head coach.
Ramona Valley (CA): Former Murrieta Valley HS (CA) head coach Vinny Fazio has accepted the head coaching job at Ramona HS, per source.
River Ridge (GA): River Ridge High School, Woodstock, GA is looking for a special teams coordinator and coaches with the ability to coach a defensive or offensive position. Applicants must have a renewable GA Teaching Certificate or be eligible for a GA Teaching Certificate. There will be several teaching openings in the fall. Paris North Lamar (TX): Former Memphis defensive line coach Tim Billings has been approved as the head coach / AD at North Lamar HS.
Patrick County (VA): Derrick Jones has been introduced as the new head coach. Jones was the defensive coordinator at Western Harnett HS (NC) last season.
St. Martin's (LA): Former Tulane quarterback Lester Ricard has been named head coach. Ricard spent last season coaching the quarterbacks at De La Salle HS (LA).
Beaumont Ozen (TX): Plez Atkins has been approved as the new head coach / campus coordinator. Atkins previously coached at North Forest HS (TX) in 2012.
Kennard-Dale (PA): Patrick Weider has been named head coach. Wieder spent this past season as an assistant at K-D, and was the offensive coordinator at York HS (PA) for seven seasons prior to that.
West Potomac (VA): West Potomac High School a 6A school in Alexandria, VA is currently looking to fill the following positions on the Varsity / JV staff; Defensive Line, Linebackers, and Offensive Line. Jack Britt (NC): Jack Britt High School (4AA) in Fayetteville, NC is looking for assistant football coaches for next year at Varsity DL and JV coordinator positions. Jack Britt has reached the playoffs every season after the first year the school was started (2000) including four 4AA State Championship Game appearances (most recent in 2012). We will have teaching openings for each position and all certification areas will be considered. A teaching certification is encouraged but not required. Lateral Entry is a possibility.
