Hal Mumme is either directly or indirectly responsible for much of what you see on Saturdays in the fall.
I don't think this one will be duplicated any time soon.
Now the head coach of Division III Belhaven University in Jackson, Miss., Mumme's Blazers faced a 4th-and-long against Hardin-Simmons (Texas) on Saturday, so Mumme went full Mumme by doing the most unconventional thing possible.
Only Hal Mumme. Belhaven goes for it on 4th and long and the Blazers move the chains in the weirdest way possible @RedditCFB@edsbspic.twitter.com/YeM37Tx9TG

In case the video above isn't clear enough, that's a backward pass where Belhaven's backup quarterback has the option to throw, run or pass. He elects to punt, proceeds to punt the ball off of a Hardin-Simmons player and recover the muffed ball, thereby giving Belhaven the ball and a new set of downs.
Just like Mumme drew it up.
