A lot of things go into a school's image when it comes to recruiting. You've got to weigh financial resources, tradition, facilities, fan base, brand recognition talent in the area...the list goes on and on. With those things, and a few other metrics in mind, ESPN took a look at all 65 of the jobs within the Power 5 and ranked them from top to bottom.
The list that they came up with is rather interesting. Here's their top 10, consisting of 4 SEC programs, 2 from each the Big Ten and Big 12, and one representative from both the Pac 12 and ACC.
According to ESPN's metric, Georgia is the easiest recruiting sell among Power 5 schools. The worst among Power 5 jobs? Boston College (#65), Wake Forest (#64) and Kansas (#63).
If you're anything like me you may be wondering how Oregon isn't listen among the top 10. ESPN put them at #19 due to "precious little in-state talent, and the rest of the world may be starting to catch up to Oregon's distinguishing characteristics." And Texas A&M, whose facilities may be even better than Oregon's? They're at #12 somehow.
Clearly, there's going to be plenty of debate as to whether Georgia is really deserving of that #1 spot, and that Oregon (and other programs) deserve to be much higher.
