College coaching veteran goes viral on Good Morning America (Maryland)

Tomorrow at noon, Temple has a top 25, and red-hot Maryland team coming to town in a game that the Owls 35-14 dominated last year. But a lot, including Mike Locksley now leading the Terps, has changed since then.

Put yourself in the shoes of a Temple staffer for a moment. You've got your head down prepping for a team that has some impressive momentum built up after they destroyed a top-25 ranked Syracuse team last week 63-20, and you get a phone call.

"Hey...I think I just saw your dad on TV...and I think he's about to go viral."

While I'm not sure that the phone call actually happened that way, that's the situation that Temple defensive and special teams analyst Dan Sabock found himself in.

Coach Sabock's dad, Mike - who spent 24 years on the sideline as an assistant coach at Northern Illinois under four head coaches with additional stops at Western Michigan and Penn State as well - was chosen as a guest on a Good Morning America promo for the new Hustlers movie starring J-Lo, Cardi B, and Lizzo. Guests had to answer a trivia question, and if they got it right they got to take a selfie with stars J-Lo and Keke Palmer. If they got it wrong, they had to perform a little routine on the pole in the studio set.

Seeing that you already know Mike went viral, I think you can guess how good he was at the trivia part. But the rest, and why he went viral, you've got to see unfold for yourself.

Mike shows up front and center at about the 3:10 mark and has to finish a J-Lo lyric...

Good fun. Nice cameo in there for Mike's wife Sandy as well. #ThisIsRetiredLife Here it is in GIF form to be forever memorialized.
