Kirk Ferentz will return his entire on-field coaching staff intact, as well as his key off-the-field staff.
Tenth Assistant
Derrick Foster, whose duties are yet to be specified, joined the Hawkeyes staff recently after coaching the running backs and serving as run game coordinator at Samford (FCS - AL) the past two seasons. The move should free up Woods to focus on coordinating the special teams after his specific duties are nailed down, which is something that Ferentz has alluded to when discussing how he'd use the 10th assistant hire.
