2018 Changes
Chip Kelly's first UCLA staff is an interesting mix of new and old. Former Oregon lieutenants Jerry Azzinaro and Don Pellum will join him in Westwood alongside a former Kelly assistant with the 49ers in defensive line coach Vince Oghobaase, while four Jim Mora assistants have been retained -- Jimmie Dougherty, DeShaun Foster, Hank Fraley and Angus McClure, who moves from defensive line to tight ends. Kelly supplemented the staff with hires that are both new to him and UCLA. Roy Manning was hired away from Washington State to coach special teams and outside linebackers, former Iowa State head coach Paul Rhoads will handle the secondary and former Stanford and NC State offensive coordinator Dana Bible will coach quarterbacks.
Kelly will be his own offensive coordinator.
