Nate Leonard, the head coach and athletic coordinator at Canyon HS (New Braunfels, TX) set up a unique event for his incoming 8th graders.
Capitalizing on the attention that high school prospects get from posting about their "Official Visits" at colleges, Leonard found a way to recreate that at the high school level.
While he's certainly not the first one to do it, he and his coaches did a great job highlighting their event and capturing the excitement that it created among the incoming class.
No details was too small. Fog machines were brought in for the pictures, players wore their game jerseys and provided tours of campus, and you can see how much everyone involved enjoyed it.
We provided a Middle School Official Visit for our 8th grade football players in our direct feeder middle schools. Needless to say, our future Cougars canβt wait to get hereβΌοΈππ₯#RedBurnsBrighterπ΄π₯ pic.twitter.com/w00Dr0POqY
