Portland State (FCS - CA): Per source, offensive coordinator / running backs coach A.C. Patterson has accepted a Bill Walsh Minority Fellowship position with the New York Giants. Patterson, who is entering his third season of his second stint with the program, has also recently added the assistant head coach title and has previous experience working with the Minnesota Vikings.
COOL Clinic: The 42nd Annual C.O.O.L. Clinic, known as the premier event for offensive line coaches, will be held virtually May 16th-18th. This year’s clinic features an incredible array of speakers from the NFL, college football, and beyond, offering attendees a unique opportunity to learn from some of the best in the business. Headlining the event are the world-champion Kansas City Chiefs Head Coach Andy Reid and Steve Spagnoulo and Joe Cullen from the Chiefs’ coaching staff. Also featured is Sherrone Moore, Head Football Coach at the University of Michigan, and Luc Brodeur, O-Line Coach for the Montreal Alouettes, the Grey Cup Champions. Ohio: In addition to the promotion of John Hauser to defensive coordinator and the addition of Kurt Mattix as defensive ends coach (both of which we previously shared), the program is shifting responsibilities for a few Bobcats coaches as well this fall. Defensive tackles coach Tremayne Scott will now oversee the entire defensive line, associate head coach / running backs coach / pass game coordinator Brian Smith is the new offensive coordinator, and quarterbacks coach Scott Isphording is now pass game coordinator. Also, defensive graduate assistant Clay Finney is moving to a full-time role as director of recruiting after working with the linebackers last season.

Roosevelt (D-II - IL): Roosevelt University is looking to hire a graduate assistant football coach. Compensation includes full graduate school tuition and a $5,000 stipend. No housing or meals are included. Applicants must have a minimum 2.8 cumulative undergraduate GPA with subsequent admission into the Roosevelt University Graduate School . Alfred State (D-III – NY): Alfred State College is seeking applicants for an assistant football coach. All positions are being considered, as we are looking for the best candidate and fit. This position will be responsible for coaching their own position group, on the road recruiting, film editing/breakdown (HUDL), as well as other duties assigned by the head football coach. A Bachelor’s degree and valid driver’s license is required. This position pays $16,500 over ten months, beginning August 1st , and is eligible to receive health care benefits. This position includes a partial meal-plan, as well as the opportunity for a tuition waiver for one graduate class per semester (including winter term), at any State University of New York institution (preferably online classes).
