North Carolina: Bill Belichick will instantly become one of college football's highest-paid head coaches.

North Carolina: For real, this is happening. Adam Schefter shares this afternoon Bill Belichick has agreed to become North Carolina's head football coach.

VMI (FCS): Pass game coordinator / wide receivers coach / recruiting coordinator AJ Hampton has been elevated to offensive coordinator. Patrick Ashford has held that title the last several seasons.

FIU: Willie Simmons has made some key staffing decisions.

UCF: Scott Frost and the Knights are reportedly set to hire a staffer from a College Football Playoff team in a coordinator role.

Kennesaw State: Jerry Mack is set to nab a top young assistant to has two prior SEC stops on his resume.

Oklahoma State: Western Kentucky's Kap Dede is finalizing a deal to join the Cowboys staff, per Pete Thamel. Dede, who is listed as the Hilltoppers run game specialist and outside linebackers coach, has worked with new defensive coordinator Todd Grantham at a number of stops including Louisville, Florida and Mississippi State.

Mount Mercy (NAIA - IA): Mount Mercy University is currently accepting applications for the Defensive Coordinator position. This is a full-time position with benefits and a competitive salary based on experience. A Bachelor's degree is preferred, duties will include coordination of all phases of the defense, coaching a defensive position group and being responsible for a recruiting area. North Carolina: Bill Belichick is headed towards becoming head coach at UNC according to the fine folks at Inside Carolina.

Puget Sound (D-III - WA): Puget Sound invites applications for the full time position of defensive assistant coach. The successful candidate will be heavily involved in game planning and film work (HUDL) and be responsible to help put together the game plan each week. Highly preferred to have Division 3 experience. The successful candidate will also be expected to help recruit, retain, and graduate academically successful student-athletes to the University of Puget Sound. Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to overall departmental philosophy which might include teaching classes or be involved in other administrative duties. Apply online here. Tulsa: Sources tell FootballScoop Tre Lamb and the Golden Hurricane are adding former SEC tailback and Power Conference assistant to staff.

Delta State (D-II - MS): Head coach Todd Cooley has agreed to a four-year contract extension, the school has announced. The Statesmen have boasted a 75-46 record with Cooley at the helm of the football program with four Division II Playoff appearances.

Tampa Bay Bucs: Head coach Todd Bowles noted to reporters recently that he is "definitely not retiring." Bowles, who is in his third season leading the franchise, is 61 and the Bucs are currently 7-6.

Faulkner (NAIA - AL): Head coach Rob Gray has tendered his resignation after a 16-25 overall record since taking over the program in 2021. He led the Eagles to a 8-2 debut season before going 4-7 followed by two straight seasons of 2-8.

Broyles Award: Four defensive coordinators and one offensive coordinator are in the running to be named college football's top assistant.

Mount Mercy (NAIA - IA): Bethel (NAIA - TN) co-offensive coordinator and receivers coach MD Daniels has been named the first head coach in program history. Mount Mercy is set to take the field in 2026.

Rhodes (D-III - TN): Rhodes College is searching for candidate to fill our vacant Defensive Coordinator Position. Competitive Salary and benefits package. UMass: Dartmouth (FCS - NH) special teams coordinator Joe Castellitto is joining the UMass staff in the same capacity, per Pete Thamel. Prior to joining the Dartmouth staff, Castellitto spent three seasons at UConn.

UMass: West Virginia defensive assistant Tre Bell is expected to join the staff as defensive backs coach, per 247. He previously coached corners at Akron.

Army: The statistical trifecta Monken's squad accomplished against Tulane hasn't been done by any of the game's greatest coaches of the past two decades.

Muskingum (D-III - OH): After leading the Muskies to their most successful stretch in decades, head coach Erik Ieuter has decided to leave the program. Edward Reny, the team's offensive line / tight ends coach, run game coordinator and strength and conditioning coordinator is stepping in as interim head coach while a national search takes place.

Utah: Koy Detmer, Jr., who spent last season on staff at New Mexico as an offensive analyst, has joined the Utes as quarterbacks coach.

Wisconsin-Platteville (D-III): Wisconsin-Platteville is looking to hire a wide receivers coach. This coach will also serve as summer camp coordinator. Those interested can see more about the job and apply via this link.

Michigan: Sherrone Moore's search for a new offensive coordinator is reportedly zeroing in on a former FBS head coach and veteran play caller.

South Carolina: Shane Beamer and South Carolina expected to elevate a veteran NFL play caller on staff to the vacant offensive coordinator role.

St. Scholastica (D-III - MN): St. Scholastica is looking to hire a full-time defensive coordinator. Salary range is between $39k and $50k. Required: Bachelor’s Degree; AND two (2) years of professional coaching experience; OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Georgetown College (NAIA - KY): Sources tell FootballScoop head coach Chris Oliver is planning to step full-time in the AD role and promote defensive coordinator John Perin to head coach.

Colorado State: Jay Norvell blasts the cut independent portal agents are taking from kids, calling it "criminal" compared to the 3% NFLPA agents charge.

UCF: Scott Frost's first hire as UCF's new head coach is the most important player from his last run as UCF head coach.

Syracuse: Head coach Fran Brown believes there's a right and wrong way for his players to enter the transfer portal, and those that choose the wrong way are "snakes."
