South Alabama: Sources tell FootballScoop Kane Wommack is planning to add McGill-Toolen head coach Earnest Hill to his staff as running backs coach. Hill has served as head coach at Toolen the since 2017. As a defensive coordinator he won multiple state championships.
Arizona: A name is "picking up steam" in the Arizona search, per a report.
Boise State: The Broncos will end the season 5-2 and have opted to forgo a bowl bid.
College Football Playoff: No one -- not the conferences, the bowls, or the networks -- is looking out for college football's best interests, and as a result the whole sport suffers.
Maryland: Mike Locksley and the Terps have decided to not play in a bowl game this season. The end the season 2-3.
Alabama: Assistant coaches and strength staff for the Tide will earn a combined total of just under $1.5 million and offensive coordinator Steve Sarkisian has hit his max of $250k in bonus money, Steve Berkowitz tweets.
Ohio State: Buckeye assistant coaches and strength staff are set to collect just under $3 million in bonus money, and defensive coordinator Kerry Coombs is at $476k in bonus earning, Steve Berkowitz tweets.
Michigan State: The Spartans have opted to not play in a bowl game. They end their season 2-5.
College Football Playoff Bonuses: Steve Berkowitz tweets that the bonus totals for three of the coaches that were chosen for the College Football Playoff are Nick Saban ($525k), Dabo Swinney ($400k), and Ryan Day ($400k).
Big Ten: ESPN is reporting that the Big Ten will adjust its 21-day COVID protocol. Adam Rittenberg tweets that instead of 21-days it is being reduced to 17-days.
Nebraska: The Huskers will not play in a bowl game this season, ending the year at 3-5.
Geneva (D-III - PA): Geneva College is looking for a defensive line graduate assistant. Candidates must have either played or coached Defensive Line. Geneva is a Christ-centered college and only hires coaches with a Christian statement of faith. Stipend of $8000 and 1/3 off tuition for Masters of Higher Education degree is given annually for this two-year arrangement. Candidates must be admitted into the Masters program. Minnesota: The Gophers have announced that they will decline any bowl opportunities. PJ Fleck and the Gophers finished 3-4 on the year.
Pat Fitzgerald: Multiple NFL teams will seek an interview with Pat Fitzgerald, per a report this morning. Sources tell FootballScoop that this year may be different for Fitz than years past, when he declined opportunities to interview.
Auburn: A fresh update on Auburn's search. Another head coach is now involved.
Stetson (FCS - FL): Hocking College (JC - OH) defensive coordinator Jonathan Johnson has announced he will be the new linebackers coach at Stetson.
