LSU: The program and passing game coordinator Scott Linehan is expected to part ways after one season, per Brooks Kubena.

Arizona State: Offensive line coach Dave Christensen has announced his retirement (with one heck of a video!).

Texas Tech: Sources tell FootballScoop Matt Wells is seeking to raid Big 12 rival for his offensive coordinator hire. Yeah, that's happening.

Liberty Bowl: With Tennessee out due to COVID issues, West Virginia has agreed to pick up Army for the game.

Kansas: Kansas is expected to hire an offensive line coach from the Group of 5, sources tell FootballScoop.

Howard Payne (D-III - TX): Howard Payne is looking for a new head coach following the departure of Braxton Harris.

LSU: Per multiple reports, defensive coordinator Bo Pelini and LSU are expected to part ways. Sources tell FootballScoop multiple other staff changes are expected as well.

Arizona: Navy head coach Ken Niumatalolo told the Capital Gazette today he is not pursuing the Arizona job. "Beat Army!"

Houston Texans: The Texans have interviewed Jim Caldwell for their head coaching position.

South Alabama: Major Applewhite has pulled a U-turn on Arkansas State, and will instead head to South Alabama to coordinate the offense for Kane Wommack. Applewhite spent last season as an analyst on the Alabama staff. A look at South Alabama's offensive staff included lower in the article here.

Briar Cliff (NAIA - IA): Minot State (D-II - MN) wide receivers coach / associate head coach Shane LaDage has been named head coach at Briar Cliff.

Midwestern State (D-II - TX): Midwestern State University is currently seeking a Tight End/Offensive Line graduate assistant football coach for the upcoming spring semester. The position includes a stipend, housing, and tuition assistance for graduate school. Qualifications: Bachelorโ€™s degree required. Billy Napier: After being considered at Auburn, Billy Napier has chosen to stay at Louisiana-Lafayette.

Adams State (D-II - CO): Adams State University is seeking applicants for Internships for a wide receivers coach, tight ends coach, quarterbacks coach and potentially an additional offensive position. Interested applicants should email a letter of interest and resume to jblankenship@adams.edu.

Military Bowl: The Military Bowl will not be played, since an opponent could not be found for Army. The 9-2 Black Knights are still looking for a bowl game.

Carolina Panthers: Owner David Tepper shares that he will not use a search firm in their GM search, and adds that he would like to keep player personnel director Pat Stewart "in some capacity."

Detroit Lions: Brayden Coombs has been relieved of his duties as special teams coordinator, the team has announced.

Bowl Game: Bowl season officially kicks off today with Appalachian State and North Texas in the Myrtle Beach Bowl (2:30 EST on ESPN).

Friends (NAIA - KS): Friends University is seeking qualified applicants for a Football Graduate Assistant Intern. This position will work with the football program in all aspects of developing a competitive program including, but not limited to, recruiting, coaching, program organization, and mentoring student-athletes. Graduate Assistant Interns will be expected to provide study hall supervision and complete administrative tasks as needed. The goal of the Graduate Assistant Intern program is for graduate students to be trained and gain direct work experience in the field of college athletics. Graduate Assistant Interns must be admitted to the Master of Education or Business Administration program at Friends University. To remain eligible, students must be enrolled full time, attend class regularly, remain in good academic standing and adhere to all Friends University policies and procedures. Graduate Assistant Interns will receive discounted graduate school tuition, on-campus housing (if available), five meals per week, and a stipend. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university; Admissions to and continued enrollment in Friends University Master of Education or Business Administration program; Must be willing to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends; Possess effective interpersonal skills, problem solving ability, positive attitude, and attention to detail; Must be willing to support the mission of Friends University and RISE values. Auburn: Auburn's search has progressed and it appears they have a leader in the clubhouse.

Carolina Panthers: General manager Marty Hurney has been let go. Hurney's contract ran through June of 2021. A search for his replacement will begin immediately, and head coach Matt Rhule will have input in it.

Arkansas State: Alabama graduate assistant Andy Kwon is expected to join the staff as tight ends coach, per multiple reports.

South Alabama: Sources tell FootballScoop Kane Wommack is planning to add McGill-Toolen head coach Earnest Hill to his staff as running backs coach. Hill has served as head coach at Toolen the since 2017. As a defensive coordinator he won multiple state championships.

Utah State: Nick Paremski, who had been serving as an assistant at Arkansas State under Blake Anderson, is following him to Utah State as special teams coordinator / outside linebackers coach.

Army: After being snubbed from bowl selection despite 9-wins, Army is taking a literal "anyone, anywhere," approach prepared to fill in for a team during bowl season.

Tennessee: Athletic director Phillip Fulmer shares a statement that seems to be in support of Jeremy Pruitt.
