FIU wide receivers coach Aubrey Hill passed away over the weekend. Coach Hill, who was battling cancer, was just 48. Please join us in praying for his family.

North Carolina: UNC announced today it is moving to all online classes in response to a cluster of cases on campus. The Tar Heels said Monday night they are moving forward with athletics. "We are still expecting to play this fall, and we will continue to evaluate the situation in coordination with the University, the ACC, state and local officials, and health officials."

Tulsa: Tulsa has paused practices until further notice after eight players turned up positive tests and eight more were forced to quarantine.

North Dakota State (FCS): North Dakota State reached out to more than 100 programs in search of non-conference games but came up unsuccessful, AD Matt Larsen said.

Temple: Temple may not play until its Sept. 26 AAC opener against Navy, acting AD Fran Dunphy said.

Furman (FCS - SC): The Paladins have announced that they will forego non-conference competition for fall sports.

SEC: Have a look at the SEC schedule. Week 1 matchups could be quite fun.

SWAC: The SWAC announced their full schedule for the Spring.

CFL: Unfortunately, the CFL will not play this Fall. More on the news here.

MACtion: Sources tell FootballScoop leadership at multiple MAC programs are struggling to come to grips with what sources are describing as potentially debilitating financial issues for some athletic programs. As programs look to the Spring, some are wondering how that will be economically feasible. Significant cuts to programs are on being discussed. Stay tuned for more on this topic in the coming days.

Big Ten: Parents from 5 (and counting) Big Ten programs are now demanding to hear from B1G Commish Kevin Warren. Players are collecting signatures. A movement is afoot.

Bluefield State (D-II - WV): Bluefield State has announced that they're planning to bring back football (and also add 11 other sports). "To do this now is our way of saying there is life after COVID for this College and our community."

Monday Night Football: ESPN's new MNF crew will be Steve Levy, Brian Griese and Louis Riddick. Lisa Salters and John Parry will also return to the telecast. Chris Fowler and Kirk Herbstreit will make their NFL debut when they call the first game of the season opening MNF doubleheader featuring the Steelers and Giants

Independence CC (JC - KS): Independence Community College located in Independence, Kansas has an immediate opening and is looking to hire an Assistant Defensive Line Coach. This is a PAID position of $10K. HOUSING and MEALS are included as well. This is a great opportunity for a young coach who is looking to get into the college coaching profession or making the move from high school to college. You will have the opportunity to coach elite athletes, coach on the field, run meeting rooms, recruit nationally and meet multiple D1 coaches as they come into recruit. Priority will be given to applicants with experience playing or coaching Defensive Line at the college level. Possible teaching assignments in the future for the candidate with a Master's Degree. Washington Football Team: Jason Wright has been named President of the organization. Wright is the first black man to be named President of an NFL team.

Politics and Football: Is the decision to play football in the fall or spring more political than we think?
