Defensive Drills:Here are a handful of defensive drills your program should be doing, according to Illinois State (FCS) defensive coordinator Travis Niekamp.

Pac-12: The Pac-12 is in talks with streaming services, primarily Apple, about cutting the cord on its TV inventory.

Syracuse: Syracuse AD John Wildhack, Dino Babers and head basketball coach Jim Boeheim have taken voluntary 10 percent pay cuts. Babers made $2.268 million in 2019.

Rip / Liz Match: Indiana Wesleyan defensive coordinator JJ Clark takes us through how they use Rip / Liz match and some coverage variations.

Study: We've known for a while that coaching, particularly at the FBS level, is becoming a young man's game, and now we have a study that puts some numbers to it.

The Last Dance: You might think a documentary about Michael Jordan and the 1997-98 Chicago Bulls has nothing to do with college football. You would be wrong.

Ohio: Source tells FootballScoop Brett Brice and Mason Tomblin have both accepted new positions with the staff. Tomblin, who joins as a grad assistant working with the linebackers, had been working with the defensive line at Ohio Wesleyan; and Brice, a former student assistant, will now serve as receivers & special teams grad assistant.

Dakota State (NAIA - SD): Dakota State University is accepting Graduate Level Students to also volunteer on our coaching staff. This is not a GA Assistantship as there is No compensation for tuition, room or board in any capacity. However, if you are accepted into our 2-year graduate MBA Sports Leadership degree, and your references checkout, then you will be given full-time coaching responsibilities and experience with a position group of your own, recruiting responsibilities, and other duties as assigned by the Head Coach. Illinois College (D-III - IL): Illinois College is seeking applications to fill a restricted earnings position. This coach will serve as an assistant coach as well as the football S&C coordinator. The position is a 10 month, $7,000, no housing or benefits included, however an inexpensive housing option is available and some meals. Candidates MUST have a CSCS certification and a bachelor's degree. Please submit a letter of application, resume and three references to (subject line = Football Assistant) ichr@ic.edu. Western Illinois (FCS): Per source, former Lamar (FCS - TX) co-defensive coordinator Cam Clark is now the defensive coordinator at Western Illinois.

Judson (NAIA - IL): Judson University is looking to fill 4 Graduate Assistant positions with experience on either side of the ball. This position includes a tuition waiver with off-campus housing and some meals provided, as well as a stipend. This is a 2-year commitment and successful candidates will work directly with the Head Coach and Coordinators. Knowledge of Hudl and Photoshop is a plus. Candidates will be responsible for coaching their own position group, film breakdown, data entry, recruiting, and all other duties assigned by the Head Coach or Coordinators. All candidates must have a valid drivers license and be willing to get their CDL license. This position is predicated upon acceptance into a Judson University graduate school program.
