AFCA Convention: With the AFCA Convention only having meaningful programming Sunday & Monday this year, coaches (only please) are you planning to (see poll below)

Ball Tonight: Five bowl games today. Oklahoma against Navy (12pm EST on ESPN), Georgia Tech against Vanderbilt (3:30pm EST on ESPN), Texas Tech at Arkansas (7pm EST on ESPN), Syracuse against Washington State (8pm EST on FOX), and then USC against Texas A&M in the nightcap (10:30pm EST on ESPN).

Arkansas: The Razorbacks' win over Texas Tech in the Liberty Bowl triggered a $250,000 raise for head coach Sam Pittman. He'll make $5.5 million in 2025. 

Vanderbilt: Jerry Kill said after Vandy's Birmingham Bowl win that he plans to return next season. 

Hastings College (NAIA - NE): James Bauer will be the new offensive coordinator at Hastings. Bauer has served as associate head coach / offensive coordinator at Kansas Wesleyan the past three seasons. 

UNLV: Adrian Mayes, who was at Tulsa last season and had accepted a position at Rice, is now leaving Rice to join Dan Mullen's staff at UNLV as tight ends coach sources share. Pete Thamel has reported the same. 

West Virginia: Sources tell FootballScoop Rich Rod is planning to hire Jack Bicknell Jr as his new offensive line coach at WVU. 

Stetson (FCS - FL): Bethel University defensive coordinator Dustin Kincaid is joining Mike Jacobs at Stetson and will serve as defensive coordinator there as well. 

Nebraska Kearney (D-II): UNK head coach Ryan Held has agreed to an extension through the 2028 season. Held just completed his second season as the head Loper. 

Bluefield State (D-II - WV): Sources tell FootballScoop head coach Davon Morgan is making a change and the program will have a new offensive coordinator next season. Jerry Taylor who served as offensive coordinator / quarterbacks this season will not return. 

Florida International: Willie Simmons has set his full-time staff with the addition of Frank Ponce as associate head coach / tight ends. A look at the full staff is here

Delaware State (FCS): This is now official, DeSean Jackson is now head coach of the Hornets. 

Lenoir Rhyne (D-II - NC): Lenoir Rhyne, located in Hickory, NC looking for a full time wide receivers coach. Experience with HUDL and Visio preferred. Previous Coaching and recruiting experience preferred as well. Please send resumes to Doug.socha@lr.edu. Interviews will happen at the AFCA in Charlotte. 

App State: Allen Mogridge is joining the staff as an assistant on the offensive side of the ball. Mogridge served as a special assistant at Georgia Tech this past season and has previously coached offensive line at ECU, USF, FIU, Georgia Southern and more. 

Wake Forest: Jake Dickert is hiring a former Group of 5 and FCS coordinator to coach his defensive backfield, sources tell FootballScoop.

Sacramento State (FCS): UNLV recruiting assistant Joey Moss has joined Brennan Marion's staff at Sacrament State sources tell FootballScoop. 

Northern Illinois: Director of player personnel Andy Wang has accepted the GM for football personnel role with the program.

South Dakota (FCS): Tight ends coach Tim Morrison has been elevated to offensive coordinator and receivers coach Matt Vitzhum has added the co-offensive coordinator title.

Sacramento State (FCS - CA): Brennan Marion has added Lutheran North (MO) head coach Kyle Wagner to his staff as a senior offensive analyst. Wagner led Lutheran North to a state title and 12-1 record this past fall.

Fresno State: Matt Entz has retained college coaching veteran John Baxter as his special teams coordinator. Baxter, a former FootballScoop Special Teams Coordinator of the Year, has spent a good chunk of his career at Fresno State but also has stops at USC, Michigan, Arizona, Maryland, and Tulane.

Vince Marrow: A longtime assistant under Mark Stoops, Marrow has been mulling over an opportunity to join Bill Belichick at UNC, and sources share the college coaching veteran has come to a decision.

Fresno State: South Dakota (FCS) offensive coordinator Josh Davis has accepted the offensive coordinator position on Matt Entz's staff.

Delaware State (FCS): Former NFL veteran receiver DeSean Jackson is reportedly set to take over the Delaware State program after one year as a high school coordinator.

Bryant (FCS - RI) Bryant University is searching for an Offensive Skill Assistant Coach. This is an entry level position with a $19k stipend and a bed. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree, collegiate playing experience and or coaching experience, excellent communication and leadership skills. Minorites are encouraged to apply. Transfer Portal: Perpetual free agency paired with zero salary cap has claimed another career, as Miami basketball coach Jim Larranaga stepped down today: "It's become professional."

Detroit Lions: The Detroit Lions signed an active high school football coach to their roster on Thursday.

UAB: Trent Dilfer is expected to add two former NFL position coaches to his UAB staff, sources tell FootballScoop.

Florida A&M (FCS): Head coach James Colzie is set to make two major additions to his staff, sources tell FootballScoop.

Western Kentucky: Sources tell FootballScoop that WKU is making a switch at a key offensive position.

Jacksonville State (FCS): First-year head coach Charles Kelly and new offensive coordinator Clint Trickett are set to bring some major coaching talent on board, sources tell FootballScoop.
