Update: The ACC has confirmed that the game is now on Sept. 26.
Yesterday, we wrote a piece gaming out how the 2020 college football season -- for those that are still playing -- is going to coexist with the virus.
Games are going to be postponed, we've told ourselves, and we need to be prepared. Deep breaths and all.
Well, the time for deep breaths has arrived. According to Yahoo's Pete Thamel, the Virginia Tech-NC State game scheduled for Sept. 12 has been postponed to Sept. 26.
The move became necessary when the Wolfpack had to pause practices with more than 20 COVID-19 cases within the athletics department.
The teams share an off week as part of the ACC's revived schedule, one of three that both teams have. The conference gave each team those three mulligans for a reason and now, three weeks before the season even started, two of its teams have already used one.
As always, stay tuned to The Scoop for the latest.
