Wake Forest: Wake Forest: Wake Forest University, Football Sports Performance is currently seeking 1 volunteer for an UNPAID internship to contribute to the program for the WINTER of 2024. Qualified candidates will have the opportunity to assist the full-time staff with training sessions for football in compliance with NCAA rules. This is an unpaid opportunity that offers invaluable experience assisting the full-time coaching staff in set-up and breakdown of training, data collection and processing and participation in weekly continuing education. Potential candidates must possess a strong work ethic and character, great energy, and enthusiasm, as well as the ability to demonstrate effective organization and communication skills. Potential candidates must have a great desire to learn about the strength and conditioning profession as well as pursue a career in the collegiate setting. Previous experience in a strength & conditioning program, coaching internship experience, or collegiate athletics experience is preferred but not required. This internship is expected to begin January 8th, 2024. Indiana University of Pennsylvania: Indiana University of PA is currently looking for Spring ‘24 Intern Strength and Conditioning Coaches. The daily responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Assist in all aspects of the daily functions of the S&C program for 19 DII Teams, attending to the daily maintenance of the training facilities, Data input and upkeep, lead warm up, training sessions, speed, agility and conditioning sessions, recovery sessions, etc., Weekly professional development – program design and job acquisition skills and Any other tasks assigned by the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach. Interns will gain hands on coaching experience in a collegiate setting, education in program design and application and have the potential to earn future recommendations for career opportunities. The chosen candidate can complete the hours required for the CSCCa – SCCC exam under the mentorship of the Head Strength Coach. Minimum Qualifications: Strong work ethic, punctuality, enthusiasm, effective communication skills & Desire to become a strength and conditioning coach. The Internship will run from January 8, 2024, through May 10, 2024. It is strongly advised that all potential candidates make sure that this internship is economically feasible before applying. Detroit Mercy: The University of Detroit Mercy is looking to hire a graduate assistant strength and conditioning coach to start in the spring semester of 2024. The graduate assistant will have the opportunity to lead the performance programs for track and field, men’s and women’s golf, and fencing. This position will also assist with men’s and women’s basketball as assigned. The GA will also assist with the administration of the sports nutrition program and the intern education program. Qualified candidates must be CSCS certified by the start date of January 2, 2024, be accepted into the UD Mercy Graduate School, and have previous experience in collegiate strength and conditioning.
