Oregon State: The Oregon State University Football Strength and Conditioning Department is now accepting applications for Volunteer Interns for the winter of 2021. This internship will begin January, 2021 and will conclude at the end of March, 2020 with an option to stay another quarter. This is an unpaid position. Compensation will include gear, learning from an approved mentor via the CSCCa, potential to sit for the SCCC certification, and recommendations for future career opportunities. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to; assisting with the supervision and execution of the strength and conditioning program for the Oregon State University Football team, set up and break down for daily training, routine maintenance and cleaning of the training facilities, experience working with Catapult GPS software, and completion of a multi-faceted internship curriculum. Required qualifications include a strong work ethic, completion or current pursuit of an undergraduate or graduate degree in exercise science or a related field of study, and a desire to become a strength and conditioning professional in the collegiate or professional setting. All applicants should have, or be working towards an accredited certification (CSCS or SCCC). Other preferred qualifications include previous coaching in a collegiate setting and personal involvement in a collegiate sport. Applications will be taken until the positions are filled. Boston College: Boston College is seeking candidates for the Winter 2021 Football Strength and Conditioning Internship Program. Qualified candidates will have an opportunity to work with the Football Strength and Conditioning staff. Required qualifications: current CPR / AED; completion or currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in the field. Other preferred qualifications include certification(s) from CSCCa and NSCA, previous coaching experience(s), experience in collegiate sports, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. This is an unpaid 5-month internship. If this is not an economically feasible option, please do not apply. Arkansas: The University of Arkansas Football Strength & Conditioning staff is looking to fulfill 3 SPRING 2021 internship positions for those interested in a career in strength and conditioning. The anticipated start date will be January 22, 2021. This internship will be UNPAID. Interns will gain practical experience working in a Division I, SEC strength and conditioning environment under the guidance of an approved CSCCa mentor. Upon completion, interns will be qualified to sit for the SCCC exam from the CSCCa if they desire. To be eligible, you must be pursuing or hold a degree in a field related to exercise science. Those who have, or are actively pursuing, the SCCC certification through the CSCCa or CSCS certification through the NSCA are preferred. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, assisting with the implementation of strength and conditioning programs, participation in an educational curriculum that will involve meetings and demonstrations with the strength staff, and maintenance of the strength and conditioning facility.
