Troy: Troy University Football Strength and Conditioning department is accepting applications for UNPAID/VOLUNTEER Strength and Conditioning interns (2) for the Winter/Spring (January 15 TH , 2025 start date). Daily responsibilities will include but are not limited to; assisting with supervision and execution of weightroom and field based training sessions, supervision and preparation of all nutrition initiatives, as well as standard organizational procedures for the facilities. Each week, interns will go through our classroom based “strength lab” curriculum with our staff to provide development and education. Applicants must be highly self-motivated, enthusiastic, possess excellent communication skills, and have an extremely strong work ethic. Applicants must be 18-25 years old, driven to become strength and conditioning coaches,and able to commit their time with us from 5:30am-11am M-F for the duration of their tenure. This position will provide interns with valuable practical experience, networking and professional development opportunities, and college credit, if applicable. UNC Pembroke: The Athletic Performance Department is seeking a qualified applicant for an Assistant Director of Sports Nutrition, effective January 2025. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, managing the operation of the fueling station, assist in development of team nutrition education, manage the sports nutrition app for the department, meet with athletes as needed, assist in creating personalized meal plans/guidelines for athletes both in-season and out-of-season, manage fueling station orders, preparing shakes specific to athletes’ needs, as well as the upkeep of the Karen L. and Kelvin Sampson Nutrition Station. Minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in a related field and a sports nutrition certification; previous experience as a sports nutrition intern at the collegiate level and/or admission into a Nutrition Master’s program is preferred. CPR, AED, and First- Aid certifications are required but can be provided once hired if needed.Compensation: This position includes a competitive stipend and tuition costs towards a master’s degree.
