Cumberland (NAIA - TN): Cumberland University has an opening for a Strength & Conditioning Graduate Assistant. Cumberland University is located in Tennessee, 30 minutes east of Nashville. Responsibilities will include: design and implementation of training programs for assigned sports, assist with football training, and other weight room duties. Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science or a related field, be CPR/AED certified, and have a strong desire to pursue a career as a Strength & Conditioning coach. Compensation includes full tuition waiver, housing, and a meal plan. Preference will be given to candidates who are certified with their CSCS, SCCC or USAW. Baker (NAIA - KS): The Baker University Strength and Conditioning Department is seeking to fill one Graduate Assistant position. The position will report directly to the Director of Strength and Conditioning. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting with all sports including football and the opportunity to lead 2-4 teams to be determined upon hire. Hours will vary and will include early mornings and late evenings. Other responsibilities include: daily maintenance and upkeep of facility, interns, etc. Candidates will receive valuable hands-on coaching experience in all aspects as well as the opportunity to learn and grow in the field of Strength & Conditioning. QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates must hold a BA/BS in Kinesiology or Exercise Science related field. CPR, First Aid and AED certification required. Preferred Qualifications: Certification as a Strength and Conditioning Coach (CSCCa, CSCS or NSCA) or must be able to obtain within six months of hire. Candidates must possess strong communication skills, positive energy, attention to detail, sense of urgency, and strong work ethic. Start date is negotiable either summer of 2023 or Fall 2023. Harding (D-II - AR): Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas is accepting applications for a Graduate Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach for Fall 2023. Report date will be in August 2023. The successful candidate will have full responsibility for 2-3 teams (Bball, VB, SOC likely) and assist with the implementation of performance programs for Football. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to complete the CSCCa mentorship program and be eligible to sit for the SCCC certification exam. Additionally, Graduate Assistants have the opportunity to learn and utilize velocity based training devices, Vald Force Decks, Catapult GPS systems, Polar heart rate monitoring, body composition measuring devices, and other monitoring tools. Applicants are highly encouraged to look into the M.S. in Strength & Conditioning program before applying. Qualifications: Acceptance into the M.S. in Strength & Conditioning program at Harding University, Intern experience in a S&C setting, CSCCa-SCCC and/or NSCA-CSCS certification(s) preferred, Certified in CPR/First Aid, Candidate must be able to devote at least 20 hours per week to S&C responsibilities Compensation: Harding University Graduate Assistants receive a tuition waiver of $3500 in return for 300 hours of work per semester. (20 hours per week). Graduate Assistant S&C Coaches receive a $400 monthly stipend and a meal plan each semester . Graduate Assistants will be given the opportunity to attend conferences and clinics as a means of professional development. GA's will also have access to online courses and resources for year-round continued education. There will be opportunities for GA's to earn supplemental income if desired.
