UTSA: The University of Texas at San Antonio Football Performance Department is actively seeking hard-working, passionate applicants for VOLUNTARY/ NON-MONETARY internship positions working with D1 Football student-athletes within our institution for the 2025 Spring-Term Starting: January 14 , 2025. Ending: May 9, 2025. Interns will have the opportunity to acquire the knowledge, skills, techniques, and expertise necessary to be an effective, entry-level strength and conditioning coach or graduate assistant on a collegiate or professional level. Individuals looking to get experience in the field of Sports Nutrition are encouraged to apply as well. The interns will be expected to aid the Football Performance staff in coaching athletes through the 2025 Spring Term. Interns will be expected to participate in an internship curriculum that is meant to prepare candidates for their future endeavors within the field of strength and conditioning. This curriculum will include assignments, discussions, and experience in the following areas: leadership, sports management, exercise physiology, program design, exercise instruction and techniques, Olympic lifting progressions and techniques, communication/organizational/interpersonal skills, plyometric techniques, speed and agility techniques, and return to play protocols. Internship responsibilities will include various duties within the University of Texas at San Antonio Sports Performance Department on a daily basis. Hours will vary throughout the semester and may include early morning, late afternoon hours and occasional weekends. Minimum Requirements: Responsible for finding housing during internship duration; Responsible for cost of living (finding a job/source of income if needed) Compensation: This internship is a VOLUNTARY/Non-paying opportunity in the field of Human Performance and/or Sports Nutrition. Completion of internship will provide interns with networking opportunities in the field as well as potential future recommendation for professional advancement and continued mentorship beyond completion of the internship. Grand View (NAIA - IA): Grand View University Strength and Conditioning Department is accepting applications for a Graduate Assistant position (tuition waiver + stipend) starting Spring 2025 semester. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting the Strength & Conditioning staff in all aspects of training and the opportunity to lead 2-3 teams. The qualified candidate will be assigned sports based on background and experience. Other responsibilities include, daily maintenance and upkeep of facility, assist in mentoring and evaluating interns, nutritional assessment, etc. Candidates will receive valuable hands-on coaching experience in all aspects as well as the opportunity to learn and grow in the field of Strength & Conditioning. QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates must hold a BA/BS in Kinesiology or Exercise Science related field. CPR, First Aid and AED certification required. Possess or be working toward their CSCS (NSCA) or SCCC (CSCCa). CSCCa approved mentorship is available to assist your eligibility for the certification. The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to be a collegiate strength coach and will possess a strong work ethic, high character values, attention to detail, sense of urgency, and a willingness to learn and grow. Skills and proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Teambuildr, GymAware is preferred. Alabama A&M (FCS): Alabama A&M University is looking for a volunteer Strength and Conditioning intern for the 2025 Winter term and Spring term, starting January 6th and completing end of school year and may have the opportunity to continue on after school year has ended. Applicants will have the opportunity to work with Multiple sports, including football. This is a curriculum based, experience and education focused internship program. Selected applicants will gain valuable experience coaching. The internship curriculum aims to develop future leaders in the field of athletic performance by educating interns on: developing relationships with athletes and staff, being a member of a performance team, designing training programs, implementing and designing sport performance, sport science, and creating professional documents, among other topics. Alabama A&M University competes in NCAA Division 1 athletics as a member of the SWAC.
