Vanderbilt: Fahd Jindani is being retained as an assistant strength coach, and Clark Lea has also announced the addition of former South Carolina associate director of strength and conditioning Ryan Bellerose as an assistant strength coach. Bellerose spent last season as an assistant on the human performance staff with the Carolina Panthers.

Wisconsin: University of Wisconsin-Madison’s Football Strength and Conditioning Department is seeking highly motivated intern candidates for the 2021 Summer Semester May 26th – July 28th). The Wisconsin strength and conditioning internship program is designed to provide the opportunity to work with Division I student-athletes and develop the hands-on skills to start a successful career as a collegiate strength and conditioning coach. The experience gained during this non-paid internship will be achieved through: 1) Hard Work, the work load will be high, which will ensure that the individual involved and staff gain equal benefit from the internship, as well as allow ample opportunity for the intern to have a realistic experience of the profession. 2) Administrative duties as assigned by the staff – Administrative duties such as setup and daily maintenance will provide experience in the upkeep of the facility. These duties will increase in intensity as initiative and trust is established between all parties involved. 3) Teach proper techniques for Olympic lifts, power lifts, mobility, core, and speed development exercises. 4) Motivating student-athletes to achieve their maximum potential in all areas of performance. 5) Presentation to Strength Staff at end of semester; Presentation will include a brief overview of assigned S&C related book, findings from two-offsite visits taken during semester, and explaining a 52-Week S&C Program developed for Collegiate Football Athletes. Maryland: Jason Wooding, who previously served as an associate strength coach at Texas Tech, is joining the Terps strength staff, per report.

Metropolitan State (Denver, CO): The Metropolitan State University of Denver Strength & Conditioning Department is actively seeking hard working applicants for internship positions working with all varsity sports within our program for the Summer Term 2021 (June 1st – August 15th). Interns will have the ability to learn from a CSCCa Approved Mentor. The intent of the internship is to provide a semester of hands-on training to prepare the candidate to take on the next level position in strength and conditioning as either a graduate assistant or full-time strength coach. Interns are expected to participate in a comprehensive and challenging educational program, including white board discussion and hands-on experience in the following areas: program design, exercise instruction, Olympic lifting progressions and techniques, plyometrics, speed and agility techniques, energy system development, regeneration methods, nutritional basics, leadership and facility and athlete management. Internship responsibilities will include various duties within the MSU Denver Strength & Conditioning Department. Hours will vary throughout the semester and may include early morning, late afternoon hours, and weekends. Previous weight room or athletic coaching experience is a plus. Requirements: 1) CPR/AED/First Aid 2) Must be working towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field 3) Must have, or working towards CSCS, SCCC, USAW, etc. 4) Must have strong desire to pursue a career in the strength and conditioning profession 4) Must be pro-active, excellent work ethic, and disciplined.
